I’ve always loved coming here when I was in middle school. When I visited back this weekend, it took me on a throw back! It wasn’t as good as I remembered it. I can’t really comment on the prices, they’re relatively cheap for a big bowl compared to the Coffee By Hand or Café Benné. What I wasn’t liking though, however, was the unfriendliness of the staff(cashier looked like she didn’t want to be there, and the stinginess + quality of their toppings. My boyfriend and I got the brownie overload and our first few spoons were good, but when we got to the middle, we found ourselves just eating the shaved milk without any flavor. Also, the brownie tasted not at all like brownies. It tasted like dry cake, which was not enjoyable. I will still come visit this place, however. I think I just came on the wrong day and order the wrong thing.

Why was my boyfriend charged $ 2.43 for instant coffee — coffee powder mixed with hot water? He had originally ordered an iced coffee, per the cashier’s personal recommendation, and what he got was far from that. Even so, the menu states that a hot coffee is somewhere between $ 1.50-$ 1.75, so this just doesn’t make sense. We were the only customers in the store and the cashier made it seem as if she wanted to just get our order over with as soon as possible so that she could get back to whatever leisurely thing she was up to in the back.

I love this place! They have the most diverse Asian treats. However, over the years the quality has gone down. My favorite treat is the Taro milk tea with tapioca. On this visit the taro milk tea tastes watered down. Maybe they had an off night. I’m not sure. The Decatur location is doing a better job. Step your game up Duluth!

Suno has been my go to desert spot after a nice meal of KBBQ, Phở, tofu soup, etc. My grandmother and I arrived a early at around 6:30 so it wasn’t very crowded. They got new flavors of shaved ice which I was really happy for because I’m not really a fan of the original shaved ice. For people who have never been here before, allow me go explain. There are two menus. One is full of preset shaved ice cups(all larges, share between like 2 – 4 people). Then there’s a slimmer menu where you can build your own. I ordered *Taro Shaved Ice *Corn Flakes *Sprinkles *Condensed Milk *Small cup I forget what each cost for a small but we spent around $ 9 who’d he as a pretty good deal. The cashier was very nice and she was alone so we got ask about the new flavors. Hope you come stop by, it’s well worth it

This was the first time I visited this location since it opened many years ago, and it has changed A LOT! The inside is very hip now with some legit decorations. I always choose to get bubble tea when I see it on a menu so I got the Taro flavor with Boba. Can’t go wrong with that option! It was good and I am glad I stopped by this location again.

The way shaved ice should be: soft and billowy, that make you feel like you’re eating clouds of sweetness, rather than clumps of ice that other places produce. I’ve been coming to this place for years, since it first opened, and have noticed a pricing increase. However, I always bring visitors here, as part of the taste of Atlanta. Personally, my favorite is the green tea shaved ice, flavorful on it’s own, without needing to be drenched in condensed milk(which I need to add to the original.) Add in red bean and mochi, and you have the perfect dessert. Packed at night, this place can be loud, and is typically filled with families or young adults. I recommend coming even on a full stomach, because ice doesn’t have calories. Right?

I love shaved ice, that’s my new sweet craving, I mean it is better than the other sweet cravings right? What’s great about shaved ice is that it’s light and not too sweet, just the right amount, I love eating it with lots of fruits! With a rewards card and different specials on the weekdays, you would sure come back more. I’ve only had the shaved ice here plenty of times and never tried anything else. However, I did try different types of shaved ice and been satisfied every time.

I’ve been coming to sunO’s for yearssss & I don’t think I will ever stop loving them. for starts, the interior to this location is very modern & is great for outings with friends or even studying(during the day is best at night it’s a little louder). the place itself is not that big but they have a lot of tables set up for numerous visitors. the service itself is usually always good. I’ve never been treated with disrespect or given an attitude. I always either build my own or grab the volcano because the volcano is AMAZING. the Thai tea here is addicting & it taste better than at other places. they do offer a frequent visitor card with a free drink after a certain amount of stamps on your card. now that I live further away I don’t come as frequently but when I do, I take mine to go. the ladies at the counter on my last visit deserve a round of applause. the line was crazy & the two of them tackled it!!! everyone seemed understanding about waiting. the workers were still sweet & managed to get everything done. when it we my turn they were very helpful & pleasant. wish I would’ve gotten their names. but anyways keep up the good work sunOs! it’s much appreciated & I will continue to come :)

This was the first place I have ever been to for shaved ice and I have got to say that they left a good impression of shaved ice for me :). I ordered the Ultimate Mango which has mango pieces, condensed milk, mango syrup, and mango shaved ice.(If you’re a mango lover, GETTHIS). It was so delicious and they are definitely not stingy about giving you a lot of fruits which is a huge plus for me because I love fruits. Such a good dessert for a hot summer day!

One of my favorite places for a sweet, cool treat. And you have the option of keeping it relatively healthy(although the option of adding condensed milk will always prevent me from doing so). Also, I never pass up a chance to add lychee jelly to anything. Yum!

I’ve always loved it at Suno. It seems a bit silly because I can’t eat cold things, but I always go for the delicious crepes(Thursdays are bae) and the bubble tea. My favorites are the classic milk tea and the taro bubble tea! For crepes, I either grab the Volcano crêpe or the Koko coffee crêpe. Unfortunately, I can’t remark on the ice cream crepes(such as the caramel one with bananas and vanilla ice cream) because they have ice cream. The ambiance is my type of place – colorful, minimalist and cute! The service is always lovely and the people are friendly and helpful. My friends and I always come late at night after a few hours at Do Re Mi, so their open hours are usually perfect timing for me. It’s a great place to stop by after a lot of singing or even just if you want a delicious sweet snack!

Although this hasn’t been my first visit nor check in, it has been years since I stepped foot at this location. There was the typical shaved ice treats to be found here, smoothies, and bubble tea. The toppings ranged from healthy fruits to the less healthy choice like crushed Oreos. The smoothie and bubble tea selection were small so don’t go expecting like ten choices. Half that ten number, and you’ll get the options for the drink categories. Lol. The staff was friendly and had a smile on this past Monday evening even though outside was rainy and dreary. Although the location wasn’t huge, you can fit a good number of individuals and groups here though. Parking was okay as this mini strip can become crowded. Aim for the Hmart complex. SunO will be more towards the very front strip of stores that’s right beside RaceTrac.

: the treats here are pretty good. A bit pricey though so be careful adding too many toppings(I forgot the exact price but its UNDER $ 1.00 per extra topping). The drinks here are good(boba teas, hot teas, etc.) I ordered the value size«Kiwi Mango» for $ 6.85 which had the Honeydew flavored shaved ice, topped with fresh kiwi fruit and mango fruit, drizzled with sweetened condensed milk. It was good, and having the sweet tooth that I have I asked for an extra squirt or five of the sweetened condensed milk. I also ordered the black milk boba tea. I was expecting it to taste like the black milk boba tea I get from Mings BBQ restaurant, but it didn’t. I know they are two different places, so I did not get what I was expecting. The black milk boba tea here tastes very, very fragrant/perfumed like a strong Earl Grey Black tea and not creamy, milky, rich enough for me. Other then that, the place is nicely decorated and restrooms were clean when we were there. I would recommend checking this place out. SunO Dessert is right next to two great places to eat(El Dorado mexican restaurant and Wing Stop). So just hop on over to SunO Dessert after your meals for a quick, delicious, sweet dessert treat.

Ever since I came back from Atlanta, all I think about is shaved ice. Back up in the Northeast coast, we’re still on the froyo fad. There must be a froyo shop on every corner. But shaved ice, that’s a bit harder to find. Anyway, while the bf and I were visiting a few friends, they took us to SunO for shaved iced. We all shared the Volcano, which had original milk flavor shaved ice with strawberries, mocha, oreo crumbles, strawberry and caramel syrup. The shaved ice was so fluffy and soft and delicate. It was really light and refreshing but probably more calories than you expect with all the toppings. But still, it was awesome, though I could go without the strawberry syrup. That was way too sweet for my liking. For now, all I can do is think of SunO fondly until I can find a comparable shaved ice shop closer.(And yes, I did google for a shaved ice maker and shaver… who wants to loan me $ 9k?)
