The atmosphere is calm and what you would expect from a Korean bakery. Service was good and so was the drinks and baked goods! There are some outlets but only a few with limited wifi which is the only reason they lost a star with me since when I’m studying I really need wifi to research and complete my assignment. However, the food and drinks are amazing! I’d have to return again and try more items before I can decide on my favorites, but so far I’d order their affogato and fish cakes again for sure!

I really wasn’t trying to avoid White windmill. I’ve seen it, passed by it, but never went in, so on a Saturday morning when I had to study and needed coffee, I went on in. I settled on their Americano regular sized coffee($ 2.49), Sweet Potato Manju($ 3.99) and a traditional sweet cream bun($ 2.99) When I asked what were some of their best sellers for pastries, staff lit up and came from behind the counter with a lot of explanation. The bun was an easy choice, and was soft, slightly sweet and tasty. The sweet potato manju, were described as not quite bread texture and not quite sweet potato either, and in fact, it does taste like a type of breaded outer layer, with a pocket of mashed and pressed sweet potato inside. I love sweet potato dishes, but must be honest that I wasn’t a fan of this sadly. The coffee was simply coffee, and not too much in terms of special. White Windmill is another Korean owned bakery, that I wasn’t aware that most of their baking happens at their Doraville store, and is shipped out fresh quite often, so sadly some things that you may see on photos may not be there when you pay them a visit. I visited on a Saturday morning and Pro tip, if you want to study, go before 10am Saturday mornings, because there were only two people there studying, in a very quiet store. Located in the Nukoa plaza shopping Center off Steve Reynolds Blvd, White windmill is on the bottom floor and parking isn’t a concern at all. Getting in and out of the plaza is really dependent on what time of day it is and how busy Steve Reynolds is, but I didn’t have many problems at all. Decent little coffee shop that i’m happy I finally got a chance to try out.

If you are ever in this neck of the woods and want a fairly serene place to have a yummy snack or drink, come here. The service is helpful, the traditional french pastries astonishingly pretty and delicious, and the Korean baked goods lovely. They also have a unique selection of brewed herbal teas. An excellent place to meet friends, study, read, or just contemplate your food.

When I’m in the Duluth area, I usually choose this bakery. If you’re trying to study or have a nice chat with a friend this is a great location because it offers private booths with walls that are scribbled over with tags and cartoons like Korean cafes, giving it a very down to earth vibe. Also, the music isn’t intrusive. The seats in the booth are worn in leather and each booth offers a power surge. The reason I’m not offering a 5 is because although the location is conveniently located in Nukoa Plaza, and I love the booths is because the coffee here is not very good. I’ve tried their hazelnut which taste extremely bitter with pumps of hazelnut flavoring on top, their regular hot coffee, an iced hazelnut, which they gave hot and then when I told them I asked for ice, what happened was they poured the coffee into ice turning it into lukewarm watered down coffee. The iced americanos are not bad though. When I go here, I usually stick to the breads or they also offer a really unique bean paste fish shaped bread that comes in a wire basket. There’s also only 3 booths, but there is other open seating. Environment 5⁄5 Service 4⁄5 Coffee 3⁄5 Edibles 4⁄5 Booths 10⁄10

Absolutely appalling staff of young teenagers. I was served cold, stale coffee. Upon bringing this to their attention they ignored me as if I didn’t exist continuing to speak in Korean among themselves. They really made me feel unwelcome. This place has been really going down hill in the past few months, used to have awesome customer service. Everything is overpriced.

They have some really good breads and cakes. Overall, it’s a really cute and nice coffee house/bakery. Usually we always make a stop here whenever we go get our Korean food fix at Dan Moo Ji. There is an older Korean lady, who we assumed was the manager or owner, who always gives us fish waffle samples, and so we would always buy a bunch of fish waffles because they are delicious and because the lady there was so nice. Today, we came in for fish waffles. Unfortunately, we had this extremely rude Korean girl at the counter who had a b****y, snide attitude to begin with when I asked her if they had fish waffles. This girl had super round face and wore this head scarf/band thing. When I was asking her about the fish waffles she just looked at me with this bored expression like she wanted to do anything but talk to customers or sell fish waffles because they have to be made fresh in this special waffle iron. I guess making an order of fish waffles was just too much work for her. Lols. So we walked out without purchasing anything after realizing this girl obviously didn’t care nor want customers who trying to spend money with them. When customers walk out of your bakery because of the attitude of the salespeople. There’s something wrong.

After munching at DanMooJi next door, my fiancée and I hopped over to inspect this bakery. I’m no stranger to Asian bakeries… it’s always fun to see who makes what! We only got baked good from here. The price is pretty much the same across the board from other Asian bakeries. They did have selections I have no see before. I picked up some mini cheese cakes and savory breads. I just finished eating one and I regret not getting more! I hope to stop by again and try out more of the menu. They also had house drinks and sweets! Thank you and keep it up! I cannot wait to come by again!

I came for the mini fish cakes and left with a bag of bread and coffee. These fish cakes were pretty good, I take off one star because I expected it to be a little bit crispier on the outside. It was a little mushy but still delicious. If you order this do eat it on site and don’t take it Togo. One order is 4.99. I got half red bean and half cream(custard). When you go up to cashier, there’s a sign on the right. I give them lots of stars because I randomly grabbed some bread to go. I got this toast bread(a giant block of toast cut on the top into little squares). There was no label but I think it’s butter garlic toast or something. I’ve had honey toast and things like that from other places but something about this toast was phenomenal!!! No American bread can compare to this delicious sweet buttery bread. There’s little bit of almond sprinkled on top. Idk what kind of butter they use but something about Korean bakeries have like this sweet addicting butter … Find it and be happy for a short ten minute that it will take to finish it.

Great selection of bread and cakes here. Been here for over 10+ years. Never been a disappointment. Quality is way above average. Location is quality near to the interstate. The cakes and bread are freshly baked unlike those corporate bakery where they are being delivered in a van to various locations. Possibly fresh as well but unlike a true bake and you-can-see type. There is so many selections and samples alone that can make you wish you had a dual intestinal digestive system! The décor itself make this place highly conducive for meetings and students here. Sipping coffee and pastries makes this place more worthwhile to go to. The Buford location has the most selections compared to the others.

This bakery isn’t the cutest Korean bakery I’ve seen but it’s the one I go to most frequently. The fruit and red bean bingsoo is THEBEST in Duluth. I’ve also tried their mini boong uh bbang(the fish shaped desserts stuffed with red bean or cream) and I really liked them. THey make it right away so it’s hot and delicious! Also, there’s a lot of comfortable seating so it’s nice to come here to study.

This past year. I’ve started a fierce love affair with milk teas. I particularly love White Windmill’s lavender milk tea. It’s so friggin tasty. They only offer one size, for less than $ 4. I also love a chocolate crossiant to go with it! Service is always good, open late, but they stop serving drinks an hour before close. Learned the hard way. Oops.

I loved it! First time going and it was an amazing experience! Had the green tea shaved ice and loved it. I really liked the interior. It was very modern and chic. The little bakery showcase was so cute!

The house coffee is where it’s at! I went in to get a few baked goods that I love and decided to get an iced coffee because it was so hot outside. The young lady behind the counter gave me a good description of the differences between their house iced coffee and the American. I chose the house and was not disappointed. She was on target. It tasted just as she said and was very refreshing. My only disappointment was there were hardly any labels on any of the baked goods. Sometimes I want to try new things without running back and forth to the counter to ask what it is. It’s a small issue, but a bit annoying sometimes.

Only come here when I’m in the area. Like any other of the dozen Korean bakeries around but can’t complain since I like their iced lattes so much. Will def try to come back more.

I went there with some friends to go eat the papbingsoo and the waffle ice cream and didn’t know it was a seasonal item. We were highly disappointed that it was a «seasonal item», so we left the café. It should be available all year round.

HEY, YOUMUSTBENEW! This little bakery is easy to miss if you are not careful. It is off of Steve Reynolds in a large plaza,(Nukoa), with other Asian businesses. There is a sign but it is rather small and a bit cluttered. This location reminds me of the Buford Hwy location and is set up the same. I love being able to go in and examine all of the goodies up close and personal unlike most bakeries with treats behind the glass. You select your items, place them on a tray and pay for them at the register. My husband likes the idea of walking around with the tray(although we only found two items because it was after 3pm), so I indulged him. Weird, I know. Anyway, with any bakery you need to get their early but I did not realize this bakery was there. I found it while exploring Unilocal.Anyway, it is nice to know that it will be there when I’m in the area earlier in the day. I love the décor of this place. It is tastefully decorated and has a really cool vibe and nice seating. It is the perfect meeting place for chilling with friends or even quietly working on projects. They actually don’t mind. Nice touch: They label the items for freshness, for example the sign will say freshest before 1 o’clock or between 9am and 1pm. Very helpful for those who only want the choicest treats. Although most of the pastries were gone when we arrived, I did find some bite-sized muffins filled with cream cheese and they were very good. I would certainly buy them again. I look forward to a follow up visit and an opportunity to explore other businesses in this plaza.

I’ve only made two visits to this White Windmill location and I don’t think I’ll be coming in anymore. The first time I came in, I wanted to order a bubble black milk tea but the lady behind the counter said they didn’t have it(even though it’s on the menu). So I asked for a Thai tea, and she also said that was unavailable. She seemed very uninterested in serving me anything so I just left without buying anything. The second time I came in was to study and there was a younger girl behind the counter that also seemed very snobby and uninterested in taking my order. However, she was very nice and actually smiled while taking the next person’s order. It seems like they don’t like people who are not Korean and it makes me very uncomfortable to be at this place. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — there are bigger locations that serve more items and do not make you feel uncomfortable if you’re not Korean.

There are multiple White Windmill bakeries in Atlanta. This location is in the Nukoa plaza, which is also home to some Korean restaurants like A-Hyang and Dan Moo Ji, to name a couple. After a dinner at Dan Moo Ji, I headed over to White Windmill for dessert, as the restaurant closed too early for us to finish our girl talk. We ordered coffees, bought some bread, and waited for our red bean and custard fish pastries, which they were going to make for us fresh. There is a small waffle iron looking machine that makes them easily. They came out hot and sweet, a nice night cap to the evening. The chai tea latte was made with whole milk(no skim milk). I took a sip and found it super sour. Thinking it was just me, I let my friend try it, to which she also gave a sudden grimace. I exchanged it with the barista, who reluctantly made me a plain latte, but at least that came out fine. The café has many seating areas, including private rooms in the back for quiet studying. I enjoyed the little couch area we chose near the back rooms, which was second best to the private rooms. This location isn’t anything special, but a good stopping point between meals in the area.

I was at a restaurant next door ordering take out and I walked into this place afterward on a whim and pure curiosity. I assumed it was just a small bakery and that was it. Boy, was I wrong. They not only serve baked goods, but desserts, coffees/lattes, and tea. They even serve bubble tea! I love that stuff. Aside from the food, they have lots of tables and comfortable seating available – even private enclosed booths. The décor is very nice as well. &The fact that they open everyday from 8am-12am makes this place PERFECT for studying. I didn’t leave without getting a few baked goods. I only know the name of ONE of them which was the Hawaiian roll. It was pretty good and so were the small cream cheese filled mini muffins look-a-likes. The other two were just okay. I want to try all of them and I will someday because I’m definitely coming back to study and read here soon!
