My husband and I went in for an early dinner. I had the fondue pot, and he had the Reuben. We liked the food. The atmosphere was nice, and altogether, I would recommend Cork & Beans. They played soft-rock from the seventies, some of which I like, but it really felt stale and unimaginative. There are other periods from which to draw good, not overly-loud music. Pretty please? The service – oy! Not good. The waiter wore a hat indoors. I have never seen a member of the wait staff in any restaurant wear a hat, but OK. When I asked for a glass of chardonnay, he neglected to ask me what type, though C&B is a wine bar. He came back once, I believe, to ask us how our food was and that was it. He never checked in on us again.(The restaurant was not busy by any stretch of the imagination.) When I wanted a dessert, I had to get up and go to the dessert case to order it. He also never told us what was featured on the menu, and when I asked him what kind of fondue they were offering, he told me cheddar cheese and XXXXXXXX. I said, «Oh, Ok. What is XXXXXXX?» Apparently unaware that there are thousands of beers, he said, «Beer» and looked at if I am an idiot. Not exactly informative. I would also have loved another glass of wine, but alas, no follow up service. I would suggest that someone take this young fellow, sans hat, to a good restaurant with conscientious wait staff. Perhaps The Bohemian in Greenville would provide a good, comparable model. We normally tip 20%, but only gave this waiter 15%. Nevertheless, we are very happy to have C&B in our neighborhood and certainly want them to succeed, in spite of one evening of inattentive service. I expect that sooner or later the owners will notice that they could make more money with a properly trained wait staff, and they will then insist that their wait staff do a better job. In fact, I can see us becoming regulars and will be happy to update this review when a better one is earned.

We’ve been going to the CnBean for about 6 mo now and you won’t find better people than Owner Neal and Chef Chris… have tried just about all the sandwiches, Deb loves the Quiche, Café’ Au Lait, Oatmeal/Berries and especially the Parfait in the morning’s … Me, I’m kinda stuck on the Toasted Bagel w/Butter, a Half glass a Whiskey Barrel Ale w/dash a salt(the Day’s half over by 9am — already had my coffee and it’s not hot enough yet for Iced Tea)…the music’s great, WiFi’s ready, ambiance is comfy and boy that Whiskey Barrel Craft Ale’s AWESOME !

Eat here for lunch and food is delicious, fresh, and unique. A nice change of pace compared to the typical sandwich and beer shop. Electric flare with rustic undertone makes the environment welcoming and warm.

Wow, who knew a five star restaurant could come in such a quaint little slice of heaven tucked away in God’s country. Soooooooo fantabulous!

I love this place! We recently moved to the area and we’re happy to find a quaint wine bar around! We went in one night when we both had off and were presently surprised the service was great and the wine selection was better then I expected. I got a burgundy and my other half ordered a craft beer. We can’t wait to go back again!

I am reluctant to give five stars, but I was sorely tempted in this case. Cork & Bean is a real gem hidden away near the Reidville Road crossroads in Duncan. Who knew! Warm, comfortable, homey, friendly staff, very good service, great food, outstanding coffee. We had nine in our party, but the staff handled it all with aplomb. We’ll be looking for an excuse to return soon.

Really neat place! Went in early for Saturday breakfast. Café Au lait was excellent. We shared oatmeal with fresh berries and a ham, egg & cheese croissant sandwich. All was very tasty and nice quality. We chatted with the owner and found him to be very pleasant. We will definitely try the place for other times of day. There certainly is nothing to compare for quality and atmosphere nearby. Nice addition to the area.

Just visited«Corks and Beans» for the first time tonight with my sister– must say I am jealous. This place is lovely. The food is excellent– had an awesome new craft draft beer from Greer! Of all places! I can’t wait to go back for breakfast and just lounge with some coffee(served in a real mug!!) I’m jealous because I wish we had something like this in the small town where I live. — but I will surely be back whenever visiting my family in the area.

Great new coffee shop by day and wine and craft beer by night(actually either are available anytime). But the name doesn’t do the place justice. They have a full menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, and pastries. Not to mention smoothies and all other variety of coffee drinks. Mornings they serve bagel and it’s all gourmet. Very comfortable décor and furniture. Just the right place for a great meal and/or beverage any time off day.
