I would give this place no stars… service terrible… food worse and manager rude… bathroom was clean.

well it’s just yum. we their Italian AND Greek food. the place is very comfortable and good for groups and families. eat here often, and the food is consistent. the meatball pizza is the best thing EVER!!! it’s not the best or most authentic Italian or Greek fold but it’s priced well, tastes yum, and doesn’t take too long.

Just traveling through the area and found Paisanos on Unilocal.Our hotel also recommended this restaurant and we had a wonderful experience. Ordered pizza to go and it was ready very quickly and was delicious. Service excellent and friendly.

Have been to this place ten or so times. My wife always gets the pizza and loves it. I usually get the Greek combo (the pork souvlaki is very good). However, this time it was like an episode of Kitchen Nightmares wherein the lady owner had an offended meltdown because my Wife said the pizza was not good this time. She was so unprofessional that we were left speechless when she said everything from «you must not have ever had pizza before» to «I don’t care if you come back» to «we are not going to blackmail her»…LMAO…We don’t even know where her last comment came from as we were not trying to get out of paying. She was a trip, reminiscent of the Kitchen Nightmare owner meltdowns— wherein the owner is rude and uncaring of a customers concern or expression of a complaint. She just bellowed that she has the best pizza in town and that all their food is amazing. Funny as the hot wings we tried 6 of tonight as an appetizer were frozen and dry. Funnier still, the fact that one of there employees told us tonight that the wings are frozen, as is the chicken parm, the eggplant parm, and the veal parm… unreal but this is the best food around???
We have enjoyed certain things on their menu, but after tonight’s crap from the female owner, her undeserved arrogance, and totally unprofessional rudeness, we will never go back. There are too many other places to eat where half the menu consists of frozen and pre-​breaded items…

We eat here at least once per week. The Paisano’s Stromboli is the best! I think a lot of the people complaining about the pizza crust would probably love the stromboli.
I travel a lot and have had pizza all over the country. Here, the crust is a heavier crust than other restaurants in the area, sort of a Sicilian style, so those who like a thin crust, or NY style, may not like it. That being said, the quality of the pizza is excellent compared to what I have had in other restaurants.

Our trip to Paisanos was dissappointing. We started our dinner by ordering garlic bread. What we got was half of a 8″ sub roll cut in half. The bread was barely buttered and only a hint of garlic. We did notice that it had been broiled to the point of almost being dry. Two four inch pieces of bread $ 2.25.
We ordered a specialty pizza. The pie itself had a crust that was not a yeasty raised homemade crust, but one that seemed to be pre-​formed or pre-​made. It was dry with no taste. It tasted like a flour, water, and salt type recipe. It was not one of the better pizzas to be had in this area. Also, the pizza looked like it had been whipped together as some of the toppings weren’t on all pieces uniformly.
The other thing that was annoying. The clean up lady kept bringing her cart in between our table and others to clean other tables. I do not want to sit in a restaurant next to a bunch of garbage while I am trying to eat.
Our server came to our table to only to perform the necessities. She did not check on us after food was served or anytime during our meal. She came to bring the check and suggest a box. Nothing special here.

This place is a treat in Duncan, SC. I’ve been several times all after a swim meet with a number of other families and nobody has every done anything but compliment the food and service we received here. The pasta, pizza, calzones and Strombolis are all excellent choices. I always get something with the homemade meatballs. The baked pasta dishes are large portions and delicious.

Pretty good subs. Not sure about the toasted bun, but overall the food was good. Service was great, very friendly. Woul recommend for a quick sit down Italian style dinner. Not many other Italian place around spartanburg.

Paisanos was a disappointment for me, I must admit. The reviews are quite complementary but my experience was rather terrible in comparison. All of the things I am going to say are not bad by themselves but lumped together they can only award this restaurant a single star. To start, the menu has far to much going on, at least fifteen items need to be removed. The service, while somewhat friendly was a not what it should have been. The waitress almost never checked on me and it seemed to be a bother for her when she did.
The Food: The salad was lettuce with a wedge of tomato and a small slice of cucumber with an italian dressing that was little short of bland. The garlic bread was supremely terrible as it was a piece of dry bread with a strip of butter that barely tasted of garlic at all. Finally the main course was the Spaghetti Combo which comes with a small link of «italian» sausage and a surprisingly good meatball. The sauce was bland and unexplanably boring. The crowning achievement and single greatest part of my meal was the mozzarella cheese on top of the spaghetti. It was baked on, robust, and awesome.
The Verdict: As I said, none of these things if presented by themselves are horrible but combined they presented nothing but disaster. If you want Italian, look elsewhere.

Great place to sit and relax while waiting for your food, great service and the food tasted pretty good.

Excellent salad and pizza looks great. Clean with great service. I didn’t try the other Italian dishes but this is a great restaurant. They have the three things you want in a restaurant: great food, great service, and reasonable prices. Number four also: it is clean!

We had the gyro dinner and a Greek salad. The salad was not very Greek just a house salad with feta cheese. The dinner was less than remarkable. Everyone else says this place is great. I think we should not have ordered Greek food.

Amazing Italian food here with great customer service. We eat here on a regular basis and have never been disappointed. The lasagna, pizza and chicken parm are incredible.

Great local place w great food at affordable prizes. Wife loves the chicken wings and manicotti. Pizza is terrific homemade! Great service.

No complaints on food or the service. Had almost every dish they have since they are right down the street from my office for lunch hour. Not many places around Duncan that can beat it, but that might not be saying much… Either way, I recommend this place with a smile.

First time eating here the other day and the food was fabulous! I had the all meat stromboli and it was better than any other I’ve had previously. Also, our server was quite humorous. I was torn between the stromboli and a salad. She remembered, asked me how I liked it. When I told her it was great, she says «And you almost had a salad… they’re for girls!» This was hilarious considering my Co worker was eating one! Left a 50% tip!

Eat in and takeout always good! Pizza is so good, burgers are awesome. Staff is great, perfect local place.

I have tried almost everything on the menu. My family and I eat here almost every Thursday night. The owners Jimmy and his wife Mary work hard to make sure everyone leaves full and happy. Need I say more.

Italian and Spartanburg aren’t exactly the first two things that I would put together, but Paisano’s does a fine job of presenting Americanized Italian food for consumption in the area. We arrived with a party of seven and they had no trouble taking good care of us. Common beers with Italian food — no complaints.
I had the baked ziti and it was unlike any other I had eaten. Not better, not worse, just different. Served with a house salad, it was a good meal and an excellent price.
I’d recommend the place!

Paisanos is a house hold favorite. We love ordering out and going for dine in. Some of our favorites are the Calzones, Stramboli, and their pizza’s are just awesome.
Their service is generally nice and helpful. The dinning room can sometimes be a little on the noisy and crowded side BUT generally it’s a nice place to dine.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced Italian/​Greek/​Pizzara Shop. You can’t go wrong with Paisanos.
