This scammer deservers no stars. Tried his weight loss program. What an expensive disaster! It cost $ 1500.00. You have a money back guarantee… But his lawyer did a good job. It excludes any health issues. Allergies… Etc. You can get a refund if you don’t loose weight by following his plan which up to now is just changing your PH by drinking his water and taking his supplements. You sign the contract… pay your money and then your blindsided. No matter how desperate you are. STAYAWAYFROMHIM! You find that they lied to you. Your diet is drastically altered. You have to eat specially prepared food and to make a long story short you reduce your calories to under 700 per day… eat a very limited food selection… drink a gallon of water… rub estrogen cream on… and take unknown supplements substances that don’t list the ingredients. My physician went nuts. How stupid could I be to take substances not knowing what is in them or how they react to my medications or allergies. I ended up very sick. Not only was I hungry all the time. Craving real food… ended up sick… but just another yo yo effect diet. You have to continue the diet the rest of your life to keep the weight off. Anyone can loose weight by reducing your calories that low… but at what risk since you are eliminating dairy and other food groups. He’s a good salesman and suckered me in along with many others. Save your money and buy a Y membership or something else. I hope I covered it all.

This doctor sells people alkaline water and claims that it helps various health conditions, including obesity. Not only is this a widely known scam, it is illegal(any product marketed as something to treat a medical condition is by definition a drug and is subject to approval and regulation by the FDA). I became aware of this doctor after a family member brought home packets of information detailing what I describe above and began purchasing the water. No respectable medical professional operates their practice in this manner. Avoid this scam.

When a business doesn’t want to tell you their prices over the phone, you know that is a red flag! Although he offers chiropractic services(that I don’t need, I already have a chiropractor), he also advertises and offers other ‘heathful living’ services(nutrition, diet, relaxation, etc.) Long story short, his two secretaries wouldn’t tell me how much these ‘services’ were. They were very aggressive and very pushy that I would only learn about pricing if I set up an appointment. Really?!? Why all the mystery? I told them both that I wanted to ask the doctor about his approach to these ‘healthful living’ practices, because, frankly, I didn’t want to waste my time or his time if this was something I had already heard from my previous nutritionist. A simple, yet respectful position for both of us to benefit from. I offered them my name and phone number in order to hear back from the doctor, but they both were rather curt and said that there was a high degree of probability that the doctor would NOT call me back — because ‘he just doesn’t do that’. So, here we go, yet another example of doctors who can’t be ‘bothered’ with a possible new client all because they need to have this feeling of power. Quite sad, actually… UPDATE-May 2013: I called to give them a second chance to answer basic questions about their weight loss service and pricing but I received the same avoidance and nebulous rhetoric in their answers as when I called previously. Their entire ploy is to get you into the office to charge you for an office visit. I did some more research and found an alarming number of people displeased with Dr. Sorbera’s approach to patients. Here is a link where I found that information. I hope it is helpful to others doing their homework before choosing to go to this doctor.
