Denny’s

I honestly don’t like writing low reviews because I would hate for a business to suffer because someone saw the two stars and never even read the actual review. I give credit where credit is due, but here it goes…
So the hubby and I stopped by here after a doctor appointment. It was around 11:00 and there were only 5 other diners seated in the restaurant. The fact that it was pretty empty was actually appealing because we figured we would be in and out with quick service. Turns out we were wrong. After we gave our order to the waitress, we waited over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Pretty unusual as he ordered toast, eggs, and sausage and I just got pancakes. I look around at the few people in there and four out of the five already have their food. I look over into the kitchen area and see only two ladies cooking and chatting away. Not sure if there is bad communication in the kitchen or if people were dragging because it felt like a slow morning but that wait was ridiculous. And our waitress seemed to be as slow as the cooks. We along with the other table in her section were the only ones waiting for food and they were PISSED! More frustrated than my hormonal 8-​month pregnant behind so that should tell you something. I finally gather my things to walk out and the waitress brings over our food. The poor people seated near us got their food as well but I heard one of the diners say she was missing her soft-​boiled egg, only to have the waitress inform her it would be another 20 minutes. Why, I have no idea. We eat as fast as possible and walk to the front to pay our bill. A waitress standing there tells us to wait a moment as she isn’t able to work the register. We weren’t sure what we were waiting for until a guy walks over who was standing ONE FOOT AWAY from the register having a freaking casual conversation with someone else. Great example Mister Manager! Keep customers waiting so you can wrap up your conversation about weekend plans!
The two stars are pretty much for the food being warm and edible. The entire staff (management, wait staff, and most definitely kitchen staff) needs either some refresher courses or just clean house and re-​hire new ones.

This place is falling apart. Seats ripped. Tables broken. Floors filthy. I honestly feel bad for the servers for having to work in a restaurant in such poor condition. My server was great so Denny’s gets two stars instead of the minimum.

Countless people reviewing about the wait. Jesus people, it’s Denny’s. What did you expect. Be like me! Go in expecting slower service. For gods sake your probably ordering something off the $ 4 menu and complaining of it coming out slow. Waitresses are nice but don’t expect to be blown away.
Breakfast is cheap, well… Everything is cheap. It’s always good in my opinion and from sitting down to finishing your meal is about 60 – 70 minutes. If you don’t have a hour to sit down and eat, hit up McDonald’s or Burger King. I probably have gone her about 5 times a year for the past ten years and always go back.
Again… It’s Denny’s…

Asked for a host 3 times to get a table while people obviously saw us, someone could have at least acknowledged us

Went here and waited nearly an hour for three peoples cheap meals, nothing special about it. They were not busy either. It was around 11 at night.

Went there for a quick lunch, and my usual server wasn’t working so I was a little concerned.
However, I was waited on by Melissa and she was great. The food was also fast and fresh. All in all, I couldn’t ask for more.

Went here this morning. Wasn’t acknowledged by Renee, the server that was covering my section for at least 10 – 15 minutes! Another server, Melissa, came over and took the order. She was awesome. I had a word with the Manager before I left to share my displeasure. He apologized profusely, and I shared that I’d never return due to what happened after being seated. He again apologized and provided some coupons and asked that I’d give them another chance. I might. We’ll see. Melissa was a sweetheart. That’s the only reason I’d consider returning. Oh! My order was decent.

I don’t understand how this Denny’s doesn’t have better reviews. We always have a great experience here. We’re seated immediately, and the food is great and affordable. the waitresses are always super nice, attentive, and even interact with my kids. I love it here!!!

Food is halfway decent, but service is extremely slow. Weekends are a madhouse with the flea market and church crowds, but it is later in the day (Saturday), virtually no one here, and we’ve been sitting for at least an hour. If it hadn’t been my son’s choice to come here for pancakes, I would have left by now.

Typical Dennys — Typical Dennys Food… except for some reason this one lacks some charisma. I will agree with the review before mine on the speediness of this particular place.
I have eaten at this Dennys 5 times in the past 2 years, and I usually will order an appetizer. The appetizer came out lighting fast twice. The other 3 times it seemed like it took WAY LONG for a frozen to fryer appetizer. We were talking like 15 minutes each time. Then typically I would wait another 10 minutes or more for meal. While that is not THAT BAD for a restaurant, but bad by Quick Service Diner standards.
With that said. I have never had issues with the food at this location. The food is always cooked right, and no complaints on how the food tastes. This service staff is adequate for a Dennys location. Nothing special, but I will say that the person… typically the manager who is at the register ALWAYS asks at this location how everything was, and seems genuinely interested with what you say or if you have any feedback. For that they do get a solid 3 stars, and I’m sure I will be back to eat here eventually at some point.

Slowest Dennys on Earth. Too bad there aren’t a lot of Denny’s left, sadly this one is the safest one near White Marsh.
Extremely sketchy staff and customer base… so glad everything is pre-​fab here, hard to mess up a moon’s over my hammy.
