Penny’s Carryout

In the last 12 months of discovered pennys. I’ve used to rave about this place, today not so much. I doubt we will ever go back. We ordered carryout last night; pizza and a club turkey sandwich. When I called they said delivery would be ³⁰⁄₄₅ minutes. Upon hanging up I decided I would just rather go pick it up so I called back as soon as I hung up with the girl after placing my order and was told that they could not let me pick it up because it was already charged to my credit card and there was no way to retract the $ 2 delivery fee if I picked it up myself. I found it very odd and did not believe her but that would have been okay then her next statement to me was that the pizza was 2 minutes away from being done and my club sandwich was already done and it was getting ready to walk out the door. When I questioned why I was told the delivery would be 40 minutes she told me there was another delivery on my same street and my food was getting ready to walk out the door, that was at 8:45. At 9:30 our food was still not here about 10 minutes later our food showed up. Our pizza was burned the whole bottom of the crust was completely black the only taste it had was a burnt crust the sauce had very little taste the cheese was not even melty and it was very greasy it was hardly hot at all. The turkey club that we ordered would have been fine however the turkey was slimy and the fries were cold. I tried for the next 45 minutes after receiving my food to call them the phone was perpetually busy and twice I was hung up on. I am very disappointed and I will not order from them again. I could have taken my $ 25 and spend it on much better food at McDonalds or some other fast food joint.

Solid wings and pizza. I’ve eaten here a handful of times while visiting friends and I will back. The bar is a dive but super cheap. In fact, the bar is sketchy but it has a few pool tables

Cheesesteaks are the best. Over stuffed. Deals everyday. Fast service. Timely delivery. Friendly staff.

I think that penny’s has the best subs around my favorite is the chicken cheese steak the rolls are the best nice crispy and chewy. You have to try.
