Alex was amazing, hands down. We recently moved to the area from Wisconsin and had a few friends in town so we had to check this place out. Easily our favorite spot. Great wine, great culture, and great people. Can’t wait to go back.

We’ve mainly been wine tasting on the big holidays and we came to Maresh on a weekday in the middle of the early summer and that made it even more perfect. It is not fancy and very relaxed and very delicious. We did taste mainly reds and bought some reds, the whites were good, but they are not my thing. Wine tasting is such a personal thing, but I really liked how personable and welcoming the woman behind the bar was and the view of the vineyards was very pleasant.

This was an unexpected stop on our touring of wineries in the area. So glad we did. Small, unassuming tasting room with knowledgeable people. We chose a wine to have with a picnic we had packed and sat under the beautiful trees with an amazing view of vineyards, forests, etc. So much nicer to visit these smaller wineries and not fight the limo crowds. Pack a snack and enjoy their wine on the property. Thanks for the experience.

This wine tasting spot is in a little barn with the coolest guy Sam. Show up and he will be in his overalls ready to pour you some wine. There is a selection of crackers and cheese and chocolate brownies to pair with the delicious wines. If you are a cat fan there is an adorable little kitty outside just waiting for some love and attention. The tasting is 5 for $ 5 so you really can’t go wrong!

I recently went on birthday get away arranged by my partner, splitting our time in Portland and the Willamette Valley wine country. We spent time in four wineries that Sunday, and this was our last –and best– stop. The wine-tasting spot is in a barn, of course re-purposed to be more comfortable. It was a small room, but it had lovely views of the vineyard and let plenty of light in. The gentleman behind the bar, Sam, was welcoming and friendly. It was towards the end of the day, so no one else was in there except one older gentleman name Jim– who happened to be the farmer who started the whole operation. Jim stood there and told us stories, anecdotes, and generally gave us the insider’s view of what it was like to start a vineyard in the area when no one else really was. The thirty minutes spent with he and Sam was wine for the soul, as much as the palate. The actual wine was wonderful, too– their chardonnay was quite soft and luscious, and their reserve Pinot was rich and complex. If you find yourself in Dundee, stop in and give Maresh a try.

Specializing in Pinot Noir that is spicy with a peppery flavor. The wine steward is friendly and will take the time to explain the wine. It is a very relaxed atmosphere were one can enjoy tasting the wine. There is also retreat on the vineyard if one really need to get away from it all. When out in Dundee making the vineyard circuit one must stop here to get the Oregon wine experience.
