What is very sad is that the people at Erath feel that the sales of their wine justified the price increase of there product. Safeway, Fred Meyer, Alberson, have all raised there prices for a bottle of there wine over $ 17 per bottle. SHAMEONYOU. I buy 15 bottles per month. I admit, taste is everything. However a 25% increase per bottle has pushed me to look else where. TRYPANTHERCREEK2013. If Erath is raising there prices and forcing you to look else where I found PC. Funny, when a company gets a perception that you will continue to buy there product no matter what the cost… they help you find a better wine. Bye bye Erath, hello Panther Creek.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and tasting at Erath Winery. The staff is knowledgeable and pleasant, the wines were a delight, and the atmosphere was relaxing. We sampled five wines and bought two bottles. I make no wine recommendations because every palate differs and I claim no expertise, but we’re pleased with our choices. Given fair weather and time to relax in a delightful setting, I think Erath Winery is a worthwhile way to celebrate Life on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon!

My husband and I were on vacation in Oregon and hit a few wineries. This one was by far the best. The tasting price was reasonable compared to some others and the wines suburb! We chose the reserve flight. Usually there are at least one to two in a flight we particularly do not like. On this one we liked every one. Wonderful wines! We had six and got a bonus seventh. I would highly recommend this winery.

Finally, a nice winery with reasonable tasting fee and wines! Erath wines are award winners and distributed quite broadly. The tasting room is a tasting room, not a glamorous post card model. That makes for a $ 10 tasting fee for six wines! Yes, we bought several bottles.

The staff was so warm and helpful! I love how they brought each tasting out to our table to enjoy on the patio. Also, they engaged with our kids, making them feel so welcome. Their setting is not as scenic as some of the other nearby places, but the quality wine and relaxed atmosphere make it worth a stop.

This is my second visit to Erath and the second stop on our wine tasting tour today. Our party of 14 arrived and we were seated on the patio/deck. My son and daughter in law, also known as the Bride and Groom, planned a lunch to accompany the wine tasting. The location is simply beautiful. Our hostess taught us all about the different wines we were served. I like a sweeter desert wine the best and so 3 bottles are being sent to me back home. This winery will kindly hold my wine here in Oregon until the weather is a little more wine friendly in Vegas.

This was the second winery my mom and I visited in Dundee on Memorial Day. First of all, we were warmly greeted by Gary, who ended up doing our whole tasting. Side note: tasting fee was $ 15 for six tasting PLUS a free stemless wine glass! Bonus! Gary was great: very knowledgeable and if he didn’t know the answer to a question he went and found out for you. We had a total of 6 tastings: two whites — Pinot Gris and Pinot blank — and four Pinot noirs. I am not a huge white wine fan but the two we tasted I quite enjoyed. My mom and I even signed up to be a part of their wine club! Great benefits and four ships a year. I am very exited for the first shipment and I can’t eat to return to Erath. An overall wonderful afternoon spent. The tasting room itself is located on top of one of the Dundee Hills and has a marvelous view! Definitely a place to share a bottle of wine and sit back and relax on a beautiful Oregon afternoon.

Erath wines have always been a favorite of mine, so when the opportunity presented itself to visit the tasting room, my husband and I jumped at the chance. The visit was lovely. Gary attended to us during our tasting. He was knowledgable, friendly, and generous. We had our 8-year old with us, who is not a fan of wineries(to say the least) but we weren’t uncomfortable bringing him along, as the atmosphere was family-friendly. We left with a club membership and a few bottles of our favorites. Would definitely visit again!

I’ve never tasted so many Pinot noirs in one sitting. I can say that these are legit. Some were spicy, others were softer. The gentleman behind the bar from socal who was helping us was great! Very friendly, generous pours and lots of great info about the wines. Most of the pinots we tasted are in the $ 50-$ 65 range and they do have a popular featured Pinot that is $ 19 that is pretty damn good too. We’ll probably have a case shipped to us.

Where do I begin? Now my mind may have been a bit hazy last Sunday afternoon… as we hit up five different wineries in the Dundee vineyards area. But I DO remember quite well our visit to Erath. How could I not? I won’t put this lightly… their Pinot, and their whites were beyond the BEST we went to. I am not a wine snob. I don’t throw down a bunch of cash for a spendy bottle. I am one of the Trader Joes regulars loving my Charles Shaw… it does the job… shall we say… :) don’t judge!!! This is how it went down. My husband and myself were with a large group that should of rolled up in a extra long limousine all already sipping on our mimosas ready for the sights and flights. But our limo canceled on us, so we all devided into two SUVs and found our way through the valley to our googled choices of wineries nearby.(Mimosas still happened though… shhhh.) Dobbes, Duck Pond, Domain and another I can’t remember… but Erath was by far the most prettiest, gorgeous old time modern, grounds perfected to a tee, and staff that was beyond lovely and knowledgable. The other winery experiences we went to were more rushing us through and seemed to just want our money and that’s all they wrote. But Erath was truly a personable and enjoyable time. For some reason we are always the loudest and most obnoxious group around, we all have way too much fun!!! Especially with good wines in the mix… watch out… you will probably fall into our circle of fun and have a blast with us! :) but our lady who was going through the flight with us was so nice and had such fun with us, I wish I could remember her name, she was fabulous! Okay, now I know wine«Know it alls» are shaking their heads at my trader joes wine shenanigans but I have found a new love. I will conquer more wineries! I will raise my glass up to new adventures of wine tasting and I will turn a slight left turn around the corner two steps behind and away from the mountains of Charles Shaw and find the rows of beloved local wine varieties of Pinots and Chardonnays, grown right here in our Oregon backyard. :) I’ve been missing out on so much! I thank you Erath for giving us new experiences and insight to your lovely land that is worth a million smiles. :) oh and btw I ended up spending enough money to buy a small horse with all that glorious wine. So… I guess I just had to be introduced to good wines… it’s so worth it!!! :)

Nice tasting room and service. I like that they had a cheese plate to purchase as many of the vineyards here do not offer that option. If you’re traveling in on Alaska airlines, ask for the free tasting option.

We went on Memorial Day Weekend. The service and wine were great! We were in the mood for wine and asked for some recommendations and I Erath delivered with great neighbors to visit. I always love when one place can recommend another. Way to be good neighbors!

Outstanding Pinot, whether your looking for a very sophisticated single field wine, to a lush ready to drink blend of Pinot from many sources, Erath has the right wine. Great selection of whites too, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc.

Ah, Erath how you’ve wooed me . The YS and I have visited quite a few wineries in the area, however, we had not been up to Erath until January. It was one of those beautiful sunny(rare) days in January when we stopped at Red Hills Market(recommended) and got take out and decided to take it with us. We got up to Erath and they had two different flights there so each of us did a separate flight and mixed and matched with each other. One of the flights came with some small bites, which was nice. We then went outside and sat in the sun and enjoyed our sandwiches. They offered plates and napkins if we wanted. So nice. We went up again in February and we brought our sandwiches again this time it was pouring but they offered a place inside for us to eat and we had some glasses of wine to go with. I said to the staff, a lot of wineries don’t want you bringing food and they said often it’s because they don’t have the proper license for it so to avoid trouble they don’t allow it. Makes sense. This place since they do serve some food are ok to allow it. We liked it so much there we joined their wine club. I know I will definitely be back!

Lauren was super friendly and I give her 5 stars for customer service. She had lots of stories about the wine, winemaker, and the region. She poured us two pinot gris, two pinot blancs, two pinot noirs including a blend from 20 wineries and one from 5 wineries. Their goal is to produce inexpensive wines and to keep them consistent year after year. You can find their wines coast to coast at grocery stores and restaurants. Given the size of their operation I was surprised at the small humble tasting room. There is an outdoor patio where you can sit and sip or bring some snacks or lunch. They do sell some snacks like cheeses on the premises. As for the quality of the wines, well you have to judge for yourself. I found them good but not worth taking back on the plane with me.

THEGRAPESOFERATH! Just like John Ford’s 1940 «The Grapes of Wrath» is unmissable, so is this modern-rustic winery Erath with a divine view from the hill top. Highlight: 2010 Estate Selection Pinot Noir, aged in oak. Safe times post-guzzling: Bottled water and flavored Pellegrino in sales fridge. #movielove

Enjoy the light, sweet 2011 Quail Run Pinot Blanc! Thanks, MSG. though not the biggest fan of the tasting room layout(bathroom oddly placed), i like the outside tables and general outdoor landscaping. Lots of nice space and flowers to chill alongside of! Few food items for purchase… we bought at least 3 – 4 bottles before heading to Soter, after a visit to Winderlea.

Disclaimer: To be fair, I tend to like big bold wines & Oregon is not the region for that. We stopped at Erath because we just driving through & thought we would try a tasting. $ 10.00 for the tastings and if you buy a bottle, it’s used toward your purchase. We ended up buying the 2009 Estate Selection Pinot Noir which had an amazing aroma but was a light easy drinking wine. The person that was pouring was very knowledgeable and was fun to talk to. The winery view was breathtaking!
