Found this great little record shop with some great used equipment. Turntables, speakers, amps and Frank the owner. Frank is the key to this operation. His personal knowledge talked my wife and I thru what we needed to purchase to get started listening to records again.
The first turntable we bought was us being cheap. The sound quality was fair but not great. After having it for a week I contacted Frank and he said bring it back. He let me return it and advised me on what to buy and it has been fantastic. We couldn’t be happier. What used record store lets you return used equipment, nobody. Frank does, he stands behind his equipment.

Awesome place!

There is no sign. Just a small wood plank house full of old record players and boxes of classic vinyl. I drove past 4x before consulting a gps. I found this place in a Google search for record player repair. I had already been burned and then blown off by two other record repair shops and there are few and far between these days. So I found Frank.
Frank is an Audiophile, but not the sort of purist that makes you feel stupid. He’s a teacher. He truly enjoys educating and demonstrating what constitutes good sound.
I brought him a Crosley that I got as a gift less than a year before. The first one I got was inoperable right out of the box. He was the third expert to tell me Crosley is crap. I mean, it doesn’t get crappier than a Crosley. But I loved the pink box with flowers and didn’t want to part with it.
So Frank showed me on the Web where a company in China was selling replacement Crosley turntables (which are cheap plastic), 10 for less than $ 100. So yes, it could be replaced. But then Frank explained how crap turntables ruin records. And sound like garbage. I converted. Sold on the difference in quality, I upgraded to a 70’s Era record player (not just a turntable. It’s not the same thing, I learned).
I kept my pretty pink flowered Crosley though.
