Ponti’s Petals

There was a sign outside saying that a dozen roses are $ 19.99 and the sign makes it appear that is a special deal. So what would you expect when you walk in? I’m guessing not what happened to us. We asked for a dozen roses but were told that the only roses they have are in a vase and cost $ 59.99. We asked why they have a sign outside with a different price and were told that the sign is too heavy to carry inside. And we did not get an apology for what is an obvious lie and a way to get people into the store.
In response to the comment from the shop owner, her comment is entirely incorrect. We were told both in the store before noon that there were no flowers available and later in the day on the phone the same thing. We have purchased flowers from the store in the past and received discouragement from purchasing the «cash and carry» deal. Clearly, the term «bait and switch» is appropriate here. Further, she did not apologize and was abrupt and rude.

This is an absolutely wonderful Florist! They did an amazing job on my wedding and have done several of my friends weddings. The designer is über talented and I’m always amazed at her work. I’ve used her also for corporate events, my high school reunion, children’s parties, baby and bridal showers. She never disappoints. The staff and owner are extremely nice and accommodating. I gave them free reign over my wedding day and it was truly a fairytale. This is the only florist I recommend and everyone I recommend has been highly satisfied. She also has a gift shop with really great merchandise. They are detail oriented and everything down to the stem is absolutely perfect. BEST FLORIST

Excellent florist! My wife and I always use them all the time. They are always friendly and attentive to our needs.
I sent my wife roses on 10/​15/​2012 and they are still on her desk looking as beautiful today 10/​23/​2012, as they did on the day they were delivered.

Kathy did the flowers for my wedding on 9÷9÷12. They were very beautiful! I live in CA and was getting married in NJ (that’s where the groom is from) and she worked with me via phone and email. She had a few great suggestions that really made the wedding décor awesome.

Very rude.
I called for a basket of flowers for a funeral, and a bouquet was sent instead of a basket.
I asked for a receipt to be sent and arranged for a fax — I never got the fax, or the call to confirm the fax.
I called back, got the same woman, who was exceedingly rude saying she had already done it 2x and it was costing her money to fax it as well as having to spend time ‘digging out the file.’ She said she would only fax it again if she had me on the phone while I was standing next to the fax machine.
Clearly helping a customer was not high on her priority list — she made it clear that it was a big inconvenience for her as she called me sweetie and hung up, claiming I was giving her a hard time.
And this was for a funeral.
Regardless of their flowers, I would never recommend Ponti’s Petals and would suggest using another florist in Dunellen.
I was appalled at the rudeness and lack of help… over a receipt.
