Was very impressed with the food quality and service. Our was waitress Heather S. was a pleasant women to deal with so early in the morning with our two kids. She was thoughtful enough to get our sons order right away so it would come out quick and first.

6−29−13 Update: Ok –the remodel is done and we get to return to our fav Fredonia/Dunkirk chain! Yes — it might be a chain, but it’s one that we are fond of and often find ourselves at before(if we are smart) or after(when we are dumb) grocery shopping! A special shout out to Cody — who I believe might be one of the best waiters we get. I tried their new bacon cheese burger with wildfire sauce and it did not disappoint me. Honestly — I am not sure, but I believe they actually make the best tasting burgers! The slaw was extra creamy too — I loved it — fries were nothing special though and the new iced bold caramel coffee wasn’t anything to write home about, but Cody warned me about it being too sweet and it was — he was indeed right about that one. All four of us enjoyed the meal and concluded that the remodel actually gave the place a more corporate look, which none of us found to be a good move. However, it was clean, fresh and the bathrooms were spotless too! Price hasn’t changed — still a good value, parking is abundant even when the place is full, and the service — well — ask for Cody and it will be top notch as well.

Bob Evans in Dunkirk opened in early 1994 and remains a popular restaurant in the area. Breakfast is served all day and the menu features a rotating seasonal selection. The kitchen is open and in full view of the customers and it is very clean. They are generous with refills and very accommodating when it comes to substitutions and special requests. I’ve never had a bad meal or service experience here. Usually I stick to breakfast, salads or sandwiches, but on my most recent visit I tried one of their cheeseburgers for the first time and it was sensational. Flame-grilled and succulent. I think they soaked it in butter or something, because it was just that decadent. It was the best burger I’ve ever had in the Dunkirk-Fredonia area and I will surely order one again on my next visit.

This is the place to go for the best hangover food while at SUNY Fredia. Hopefully you are just visiting friends rather than attending, however. I’m assuming you could also have a decent meal here with a family or a significant other you no longer worry about impressing. The food comes fast and cheap with that southern hospitality and calorie load. The menu seems to rotate with the seasons, and you can tell there are quite a few regulars murking about.
