I’ve been to this salon multiple times. Why? because it’s clean and close to my home. I often leave disgruntled by the customer service or quality of service. Unfortunately, every time I end up paying more than I thought I would. Often when you get a combo mani/pedi they stand over you and do both while you sit in the pedicure chair; I always feel rushed. Today, I just wanted a gel manicure and regular pedicure, and explained that to multiple technicians, 2 – 3 times while looking at a «menu». I was then told 3 packages were 10% off. Not only did I not get 10% off one of those packages, I was charged $ 80(!!!) when I thought I would be paying $ 45.00(-10% discount)= $ 40.50+ tip. After speaking with multiple employees I was told I did not select the ONLY package available for a discount but the pedicure by itself was $ 45(manicure not included). The employees knew I was having a hard time understanding their pricing before during and after the service. Very upset with the customer service here. The gel manicure is okay, pedicure great, but I feel like I was deceived and taken advantage of. I will not be going back, I have had enough to of this«business».

Worst place, EVER, for a manicure or pedicure. Whatever the price is for the service you want, you’re going to end up paying DOUBLE or more of whatever that cost was, because they’re going to upsell you, and you can’t understand a word they are saying. Go to Andy Nails. Great place, but AVOID Dunkirk Nail Salon and Spa at all cost. You’ll thank me for this advice.

I’ve been here a few times and every time I come in leave saying I’ll never go back. Then time passes and I forget or convince myself maybe it’s changed and I’ll try it again. First of all they try to pressure you to get the more expensive options and when you say no, they keep pushing. The basic pedicure is 25 minutes and they start the timer(yes, an actual timer attached to each chair) as soon as your feet hit the water then walk away. This particular visit a solid 5 minutes had ran off my timer before the woman actually came back. Then she proceeded to try to get me to buy the pricey option, again, after I had already told her and another worker repeatedly that I just wanted the basic. Then, mid taking my old polish off, she stopped for several more minutes to whisper with a coworker. Now my time has dwindled to less than 15 minutes and nothing has really happened. To wrap this up, my entire pedicure was done and included one more interruption for her to go wax someones brows, by the time the timer went off. I’ll let you do the math of how long the pedicure actually was. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Holy crap. That was the best pedicure I’ve had in many moons! They closed at 3, but they took me @5pm. I had no idea. The chairs are amazing, Mary was great, and I got a really good eyebrow wax as well. I’ll be coming back

I went here once and had the pregnant woman(don’t know her name) do my shellac manicure and it was good. Went back to get them redone and a pedi– 80 $ later– it was so bad. A man did my nails. He was like a cars salesman. Didn’t stop talking and not funny. My nails look terrible. The color is transparent is some areas, doesn’t go all the way to the tips and starts high above my nail beds on some nails. The pedicure was suppose to be the same color, but ended up being like a brown mud color and my nails are like a khaki nude. Will never go back!

Worst mani-pedi experience ever! I’m diabetic and I should have specified it to the guy doing my nails because I got a cut on one of my fingers and on one of my toes!!! Terrible!!! I’m scared to get a mani-pedi ever again :-(I only did it because we were going to a wedding and I wanted to have nice nails and treat myself. He also pushed into getting scrubs, hot stone(which were really hot I thought I was going to get burned!) and some other stuff that I don’t really want and need and ended up with a $ 90 bill! I said I don’t want any of it and he still did it anyway.. . What is it that they don’t understand with NO!!! Don’t go to this place again if you don’t want to get ripped off. I’m not one to speak up and complain so I just let it go but I hope I don’t get an infection.. . I think I’ll just do my own nails next time.

Where to start with this horrible establishment? 20 minute wait time? Check! 6 minute pedicure? Check! Didn’t finish the pedicure, left to go work on another customer? Check! Wait another 20 minutes for them to return? Check! Decided it’s time to go after waiting to get toes painted, but no one ever comes back? Check! Try to charge us full price for half the job? Check! Then try to say it’s our fault we can’t wait? Check! No common sense or customer service skills? Check! All in all, this place sucks. Don’t waste your time, energy or money! Read the other reviews… wish we would have!

I am sitting in the chair(which is the best part) writing this review. I have been here 4 or 5 times and get more irritated everytime I come. It starts with the HIGH pressure sales(worse than a used car lot), the lady goes as far as to insult you if you don’t «upgrade», insisting over and over. The guy actually doing my feet hasn’t said one single word the entire time. He is half heartedly smearing lotion on my legs. The basic pedi consit of 20 minutes tops start to finish. I have been getting pedicures for 15 years and I honestly think this is the worst I have experienced. I hate that because its very convenient. I moved here a year ago and maybe I have been spoiled but this definitely doesn’t come close to meeting my expectations. Guess I need to venture out further to find a great pedi experience. Today will absolutely be my last time here. If you want to be insulted into spending more money and then get a quick lazy pedicure by a sullen person who doesn’t speak to you… then you will love this place. If you aren’t looking for that then pass on this place :-(

I’m doing this for my homegirls back in CC. This past weekend, a group of us came in to get manicures and pedicures for our girlfriend’s wedding. Three of us(including the bride) got gels, one of us got shellac manicure and all of us got pedicures with french tips. My gel set looks completely bunk. Looks like something I could have done myself. Jimmy, I believe, gave me the complete opposite of Lady Gaga nails and instead gave me the most squared-off nails of all time, complete with sharp 90 degree edges. I know I haven’t been in CC for a few years but if this is the new«look» down there, methinks I won’t go back for a while. They already feel like they’re about to chip off, and it’s only been 4 days! Awful. Then, the maid of honor got the shellac done by Rosa, and it honest to god looked like a 5 year old did it. I never heard of shellac manis but if that’s what it is, there is NO way I’m forking up $ 30 to have candle wax pressed onto my nails. Not only that, but TWICE her mani smudged — the second(and final) time on the drive home. She went back to get a refund and have them remove it and they REFUSED to refund her. I’m sorry, but no refunds? Are you joking? I get that it’s a private business and all, but unless they don’t want to be run into the ground, I highly suggest they adopt the refund policy. I used to work for Red Door Spas, and we didn’t just hand those bad boys out, but we DID take seriously«the customer is always right» policy, and it gave us some loyal customers who would drop THOUSANDS of dollars at our spa. Women of Calvert County LOVE to find their«nail guy/girl» and they are dedicated and loyal customers. I’ve heard TONS of stories about how Rosa is rude to people, and not one of their employees was friendly to any of us. Anyways, I know there are a bunch of Dunkirk nail salons now so I suggest going to one of those and save yourself a miserable experience.
