I heard this restaurant was out of business. Can anyone confirm? We went there last summer and it was good. Sorry it may have closed.

We came here for brunch which they just launched a few weeks ago. Breakfast selections were a coffee cake, yogurt and granola, chopped fruit, scrambled eggs, hash browns, french toast, fritatta, sausage and bacon. Coffee cake looked dry and not worth it for me. Yogurt and fruit, boring. Hash browns looked barely cooked. Scrambled eggs I had, meh. French Toast crust was hard but the middle was ok. Fritatta, all I tasted was onions. Bacon and sausage were status quo. Lunch was mashed potatoes, no one tried. Roasted acorn squash was good. Ham was ham. Baked cod was ok. Salad greens weren’t wilted but weren’t super fresh. The dressing selection was gross out of the bottle ranch and gross out of the bottle italian. Oh, and peel and eat shrimp. My dad hit his head on the pendent lighting twice walking back to his seat. Courtney our server was great. Overall, we won’t be back.

We brought a guest couple as we like the quiet pleasant atmosphere. My salmon was delicious as well as my wife and guests meals. The only negative comment was the chowder needs work, not very thick & was undercooked, the potatoes were not done enough. Overall a nice evening.

We were planning a birthday celebration for my Mom while vacationing at Van Buren. I spoke to Don on the phone several times before we came up. He helped me choose a menu to accommodate all 25 of our guests. We decided on braised short ribs, chicken marsala and a veggie baked ziti. It was served buffet style with salad, potatoes and green beans. Everything was delicious! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great everything was and how attentive and wonderful the wait staff were. They really did a great job all around and we hope to be back again next summer!

Two stars is being generous. The restaurant was nearly empty at 5PM the menu was misleading. I ordered a beef on weck, a local favorite, It was actually very dry roast beef on crostini with salt and Carraway added. almost inedible. Salad was not fresh ‚ service was actually quite good Allegedly a new chef is soon to arrive. If so there may be a difference as of now I would not recommend.

Had a really nice dining experience last week with my family. We have a variety of family members that range from vegetarian, gluten free to carnivorous and we all found something tasty :) Gina was a really pleasant and accommodating server. She told us that they had recently re opened under new management. The place was full on a Friday night. My grandparents used to have a lake cottage nearby in Van Buren Bay, so my family has a long history of eating and drinking there :) My sister loved her wild mushroom pasta, my Dad loved the NY strip. My aunt had the chicken Marsala, which she found to be a little greasy and bland(but she is a super picky eater) I had the Maryland style crab cakes over risotto with the red pepper coulis. I liked my dish except the sauce was a little too sweet and there was too much on the plate. A little goes a long way. It also would have been nice to incorporate some asparagus or spinach into the meal. It was very carb heavy. Over all we had a nice time and would go back again next time we are in town!

Probably the best restaurant in the Fredonia area. Very reasonable, and portions are large(plus everything comes with salad and bread). The only thing classier would be the White Inn. Take a date here, you won’t regret it.

Was looking for a good restaurant within this area. Being a student, needed a change up from the usual places around Fredonia. Fireside was awesome! The décor inside is cute! Doesn’t match the exterior at all, but they do have an outside patio where you can eat. My family and I are outside on a beautiful night. Our server was super friendly and accommodating. We enjoying everything from our crab cake and fried tomato apps to our seafood, steak, chicken, and pasta entrees. Food was reasonably priced for the large portions. I highly recommend it here, you would be silly to pass up such a hidden gem!

I had a wonderful dining experience. Had a reservation for 7pm on Saturday night and our table was ready when we arrived a little early. Started with a hot sausage dip that was served with baked pita slices. I highly recommend this as an appetizer. The French onion soup was very good as well. Our entrees were good, but nothing compared to the flour-less chocolate cake! Thankfully we shared because it was extremely rich but so good. The service was good and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Overall a great time.
