This was my first hair cut here — I don’t like making appointments — when the urge hits I «walk in» and take my chances. This time — the chance I took was fantastic! The place was busy, but my walk in was met with speed — I only waited for about 5 minutes and I was being taken care of. I didn’t get the girl’s name who cut my hair, but based on the conversations taking place — everyone here seems very capable of doing what they do best! My haircut turned out to be exactly what I wanted — I think I look 10 years younger now! The price was reasonable, there is plenty of parking, they keep the inside of this establishment clean and so far it appears that they know what they are doing and are certainly freiendly enough folks!

Is it possible to give negative numbers of stars? The lack of professionalism here is astounding. You could not pay me to return to Invention Room. I came to The Invention Room for a bridal consultation. I had been told that they would do hair on-site at a local venue, and I was getting married in Cassadaga, NY, which is close by. I called the morning of my consultation since I had never received any kind of call confirming my appointment, and discovered that they had taken down the wrong phone number for me. I provided my correct phone number and asked if I needed to bring anything or provide them with any additional information for our consultation. I was told no and then was hurried off the phone. I drove the hour to Dunkirk and arrived at The Invention Room about 5 minutes early. When I entered(at almost 11:00am on a Saturday morning) the place was completely empty with the exception of four workers standing around talking. I was asked to take a seat and a woman put a towel around my shoulders and looked at the picture I had brought. One of the other women asked me «Wait, when was your wedding again?» When I reminded her of my wedding date, she looked up and said, «Oh.» Then she proceeded to inform me that they were actually all booked that day. The four workers stared at me as one yanked the towel off my shoulders, indicating that I should leave. I was shocked. I tried to maintain my composure and asked if they could offer any recommendations of other salons I could try, explaining that I’m not from the area and not familiar with the local businesses. The woman who had told me they were booked on my wedding day looked me square in the eye and said«None I would put my merits on.» All four workers stared at me and waited for me to get up and leave. I was utterly offended that they, after waiting to tell me that they were booked on the date I needed until I had already driven the hour to their salon, REFUSED to refer any other business. I left at 11:02am, and was fuming the entire drive home to North Buffalo.
