Movie Plex Fifty-Nine-Hoyts

If you plain on seeing a movie during the colder Seasons the theater feels as if your sitting out in your car with the heat off. Also limited hours to buy over priced snacks, and forget about a refill from personal experience the manger would not refill my drink five minutes after the snack bar closed.

MOVIEPLEX 59 is our local theater. It’s what you would expect for a reasonably priced local theater. I agree that the screens could be larger. As far as staffing goes, there’s a lot to be desired. The last time we went, there was one person selling tickets and concessions both. We had to pay admission, then move left to get in line for concessions and waited until the person was done selling admissions. Now there was a really long refreshment line and many of us missed the beginning of the movie. They were showing «Inside Out» and our theater was sold out. Staffing should have been upped when they are showing such a popular movie. I swear that the same man at the admissions/​concessions counter ran our movie too!
The management had posted that they were doing upgrades. The only difference I saw was the outdoor marquee.
Maybe they should take a theater out so they could offer kids birthday parties there to increase business. Lots of wasted space in the lobby… dark and dreary. How about some better, colorful lighting to get patrons more into the movie experience?
We appreciate our local theater… BUT…cleaner looking aesthetics and brightening up would really enhance the experience… helping to draw more people in

ah yes the pinnacle in entertainment complexes and i would know i travel for work, santa monica … to glitzy, NYC… not edgy enough for me, Atlanta… tries to sell you Coca — Cola at every turn. This place i must say you understand why i go to the movies. to see things in the third dimension. the screens are small so you feel like youramongst friends, the popcorn is old and stale to let you know that you should enjoy the movie not the popcorn. They get the experience enjoy the art not the frills, cause when you take a girl out to see the norse god of thunder (THOR!!!) in the third dimension they know what you want your lady friend to see rippleing muscles and chisled abs so she gets horny and you to see a comic book movie. Cie la vie mi amigos.

Terrible, even with some remodeling. Terrible audio and video quality, poor service staff, cold hall, lousy screens, small screens, old popcorn
