The first time we stopped in — the selection was a bit low, but they’ve taken care of that in a big way. Every time we stop in this little«Gem in Dunkirk» there is something new and different — really unique items. The pricing is really great and your dollar goes a long way here. Some of the items are so hard to find that this might be the only place you will see some of these things. This store if far better then most Thrift stores we’ve ever been to — so much more that we don’t even call it a thrift store — it’s definitely a boutique! There is normally parking on the side street — the store itself faces the main road, but it sits on a corner — so parking on the side street is the best place as there is a fire hydrant right out front and no sense giving the City of Dunkirk the money you just saved by shopping at this store. The items you will find in this store range from slightly used clothing(not a huge selection, but something for everyone), household items, books, CD’s, toys, seasonal items(GREAT Christmas finds), furniture, TV’s that work and are plugged in, and the list just is endless. I almost don’t want you to shop here because I can’t get everything I want all at once and I’m afraid you will find my stuff and buy it up! However, the owners and their daughter that works there are so friendly and helpful I’d like to see them flourish in this economy. So — I’m willing to share. Right now they have amazing store hours and are open 7 days a week — YES even on Sundays when there is little else to do — take a drive down the scenic route to Dunkirk and stop and and check this place out!
