Cheesesteak is awesome! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Clean bathroom was impressive. Wings not good, but shakes are great.

I love Bobby O’s. They have so much to choose from on their menu. The place is very clean and decorated in a cool 50’s theme. The portions are generous and prices are decent. My favorite is the open faced turkey sandwich, it comes with mashed potatoes and gravy with the choice of a soup or salad, soups are definitely homemade.

I loved the place from the day they opened. However, in the past few months I have not ordered one thing that I enjoyed. Our office frequently calls in large lunch orders. The past 3 to 4 months, every order we received had at least 2 issues with the food. And the quality of the food went way down hill. Here’s an example: a favorite of our office has always been the chicken croquettes, they were always packed full of chicken and very little«filling ». The past few months there has been less and less chicken & more & more filling. Our last order of these(just a few days ago) was almost inedible. The chicken croquettes were almost all filling and were tasteless. Other items were either prepared incorrectly or were of poor quality. Sadly, we have decided we will not be ordering from Bobby O’s again. That last order was their last shot at redemption. One more thing I would like to mention: why have they suddenly started being almost rude to their customers? We noticed it and after speaking with several other friends have learned that others are asking the same question. The combination of poor customer service, rudeness to their faithful customers, and declining food quality prompted this review. Bobby O’s has lost our business & after speaking to several other people, apparently they have lost the business of at least 6 other people that we know of. Sad to say …

The«One Trip Only» to the pickle bar always hits the spot! Bobby-O’s has great diner food in a classic 50s inspired theme. Bobby-O’s hits the spot, always!

Menu is humongous, much like their sandwiches! I recommend this place to anyone trying to decide where to eat around these parts. I got the Reuben with a side of sweet potato fries. To quote my girl Rachel Ray… Yummo! I’m typically a clean platter but I took half my Reuben because I couldn’t finish it all. When I got back to work I couldn’t stop thinking about the delicious half Reuben sandwich in my car so I had to grab it and finish it off! Can’t wait to try some more stuff from this menu. *only downside of this place is parking – beware!

The best home cooked meal in minutes. The employees are friendly and the food is made to perfection. They’re my new pizza place. The Sicilian is delicious. I highly recommend their salads. The proportions are more than generous and they never mind if you want something special. The only drawback is they’re closed every Sunday and Monday.

Worth the trip for the milkshakes alone! I had black forest cheesecake. It was amazing. There are so many I had trouble choosing. We got fried pickles which are fried pickle spears with ranch dressing. My husband got fries with bacon and cheese. They were really good even though I’m not a cheese wiz or bacon fan. He had a chicken cheese steak with mushrooms which was good. I got the chicken italiano cheese steak with spinach. It was a little dry. I think it was supposed to come with provolone cheese and for some reason it didn’t and was just OK. It would have been better with cheese.

Lady who answers the phone to take orders is VERY rude. God forbid someone calls to pay for their order with their credit card. Life must be so hard doing your job! Wing sauce is nothing but grease. Never again with this place.

I’d been hearing rave reviews about this place for quite some time and finally had the chance to try it a few months ago. Since then I’ve been back several times and had positive experiences each time. The inside has nostalgic décor and the 50s diner feel with plenty of seating. It’s very casual. The menu is huge with something for everyone. They have salads, apps, sandwiches, hoagies, dinners, deserts and probably other things I’m forgetting. I tried the chicken cheesesteak with cheese fries and it was so good I’ve only ordered that everytime. My company has tried the chili burger, turkey club, meatloaf dinner, tuna sub, and pork chops on return visits and they enjoyed as well. There’s also a pickle bar inside you can help yourself to with a variety of pickles, peppers and a pasta salad. We are greeted quickly and served drinks within 5 minutes of walking in. The waitresses are always polite and on their game. The food portions are good and priced right. Bobby-O’s has quickly become a favorite to stop at when I’m in town. My only problem is deciding what to get with such a huge menu. Definitely worth a try or good for lunch takeouts.

I was craving a good olé cheesesteak hoagie, so I used Unilocal to search since I am new to the area and the reviews suggested here. I ordered a regular hoagie and it was HUGE. We also ordered bacon cheese fries. My husband ordered a Ruben which he was not fond of, the waitress informed h that it was not on the normal bread they use which caused it to be soggy. The cheesesteak was delicious, the bun was crisp and the steak was not soggy or greasy. The cheese fries were decent, I wasn’t overly fond of the cheese wiz, I would definitely stick with plain fries next time. The pickle and pasta salad was great, and the service was wonderful. The décor is sweet.

This place is small and quaint, a relic of the past. The waitresses are very casual and politely raunchy(best way I can put it into terms! lol) which make for an interesting experience! The dinning area itself could benefit from a good cleaning and refresher, it seem abit stuffy in there… The food was great, burger was good… it reminded me abit like in-and-out burger. I had the Angry Burger which had a great kick to it and some waffle fries. The meat was fresh and cooked to perfection, all other ingredients seemed fresh as well aside from the cheese drizzled ever so perfectly on my waffle fries, that was that delicious«7-Eleven nacho» like cheese which is amazeballs. Definitely grab a post meal milkshake, they have a great selection of flavours and are delicious. Ask for the Stratos milkshake which is not on the menu officially but should be, it is aptly named after its food genius creator, mua! It consists of coconut, pineapple cheesecake and malt flavourings, its so delicious its considered an aphrodisiac in certain regions and banned in others. HAHA!

I love this place. I’ve been coming here for years and it has never disappointed me. Their cheesesteaks are on point. Moderately priced. French fries are the best. Def not the healthiest food, but if you’re looking to get a cheesesteak on a Friday afternoon, this is the spot. I usually get the chicken cheesesteak Italiano with broccoli rabe. Def my go-to.

Daddy O’s is this really old school cross between a diner and kitchen. It is small inside About 7 table and the staff is super friendly. I didn’t ask, But i felt like the place was family owned and run. Parking is mostly street or you can try around back they have about 5 spots. Inside there is black and white checkered floors with posters and signs from the 50’s. Tables are red with chrome stripping around them. The food was good I had chicken noodle soup(was homemade). I also had a grilled chicken sandwich with french fries. The food was good and the french fries were fried in real lard, not like the chain places that have to use the healthy oil. It was a nice change of pace from going to a chain place. I couldn’t eat the fried food there every day but i did notice it was mainly locals inside and the staff knew there names. overall a nice place for tea or coffee. Pros: –Friendly staff –Cool décor –Homemade food –Cheap Cons –Parking

This was a great find on our way up to the finger lakes. It’s classic diner food with an extensive milkshake menu. The chocolate pretzel is a must-have. The service is friendly and fast. You could eat there every day of the year and have something different.

Burgers, not cheesesteaks at this place! This place has a fifties theme throughout, with a classic diner décor. Weird little pickle bar, too. I know that some people are in love with the cheesesteaks here. I’m not. It’s ok, but you can find better at two or three places in the area. Their burger melt, however, is cheap and pretty freaking awesome. Try the burger melt for lunch! I hate the parking here, btw. If you see a spot on the street nearby, grab it!

We made a special stop here on the way to our relatives for x-mas. We were going to need a place for dinner after nearly a 10 hour drive and I read the reviews online, so I was really up for it. We were greeted by very merry waitresses who were singing Christmas songs. The restaurant was very decked out looking like a blizzard of snow decorations had come through! Cute! The pickle bar sounded unusual in the reviews and I was looking forward to trying it. I was not disappointed by the flavors of the varieties & the pasta salad was quite good too! I ordered clam chowder soup, which was full of clams, but I have to say flavor wise the soup was just so-so. I shared an order of potato pancakes and they were quite tasty. Oniony and crispy! I ordered the«piggies» expecting a taste of home as I grew up eating the Polish version of stuffed cabbage my mom used to make. I was quickly disappointed as rather than cooking them in a mild tomato sauce they’d been cooked just wrapped in the cabbage and then covered in pasta sauce when it was plated. I guess it was more like an Italian version, but it just didn’t taste like what I was expecting. I also asked for some sauerkraut instead of the veggies that it was supposed to come with, thinking I’d be getting a real Polish meal. The kraut, which seemed barely cooked & very, very sour was put on top of the piggie instead of just on the plate as a side dish. Like with the piggie, the pasta sauce just ruined the kraut for my taste buds. My dining partner had the scallops, which she said were very tasty, but had way too much breading on them. All and all it was an okay experience.

Bobby O’s is a good local joint just a couple of miles from the AVP airport. We were pointed in that direction by the front desk attendent at our hotel. The location sits on the corner in Pittston that gets a lot of traffic. The interior is done-up in a 50’s motif, complete with a seasonal Christmas tree(currently decorated for Easter). We entered and sat ourselves by the window. A waitress came quickly to our table to greet us and take our drink orders. After agonizing over the menu(when was the last time you saw«pork steaks» on a menu?), we both decided on the Bobby O’s Chicken. They have a lunch special that includes this sandwich(mini-sized) along with a salad and drink for $ 6.95. This is a great deal considering the sandwich itself is $ 6.25. Our food was brought out to us in about ten minutes. The food was piping hot. The sandwich was suprisingly good. They take chicken steak and add in provolone, and marinated veggies(peppers, basil, onions and mushrooms). I don’t care for mushrooms, but it was good. I ordered some sweet potato fries on the side and they were good, but not anything special. Desert was homemade blueberry pie with whipped cream. There are only two or three homemade items on the menu(the pies and the brownies) and they would be a good bet. If you happen to be driving through the area on Interstate 81 and you’re looking for a meal with some local flair, check on Bobby O’s.
