Decent selection of alcohol and tobacco. Very good considering the limited options in the neighborhood.

Excellent selection of draft beer to refill your growler. You can get a punch card so every 10^th refill is free. Like anywhere that isn’t the Class 6, their spirits appear quite expensive because of the state tax. However, their packaged beer and wine prices are reasonable. I’m not a cigar smoker so I won’t comment on their tobacco products.

For close to fifty years of talk of having a supermarket in DuPont, we got a grocery store. It’s not a supermarket by any means but it does fill a niche that is sorely missed, especially when the exchanges and the commissary are closed on JBLM.
The store is approximately 3000 square feet. It is called the general store or the Dupont General. Store and will soon become a neighborhood favorite. It is located in the America Credit Union building at 1495 Wilmington Dr. DuPont, WA 98 327‑8807 on the first floor next to the Liquor and Spirits store. You will no longer have to sit in line to get on JBLM or travel 10 miles to either Lakewood or Lacey to get your small grocery items. The general store is also within walking distance to at least 500 nearby homes. The Dupont transit center is also within a block of new General S tore.
Since every body’s opinion about stores is personal, I welcome you to go and see for yourself and see what the store has to offer. I like it and I appreciate the foresight of the owners…
