It was a minor emergency. My baby needed a pair of gloves that fit so we can play in the snow! She was throwing a fit. I frantically opened the Unilocal app, searched for a nearby sporting goods store, tapped the map and it guided me to this spot in just s few minutes of walking from our hotel.
Thank God for a Unilocal app and the kind associate at this joint who immediately helped us with the itty bitty pair of gloves that best fit my 3 year old!
This place almost look like a hole in the wall and I almost missed it because it doesn’t look like the typical sporting goods store from the outside. They have a wide array of stuff though I didn’t spend much time looking around…
Kudos to them for having a very friendly dude who was very knowledgeable of his products but not pushy in sales and truly was there to help. He gave us a genuine thanks for shopping and I would totally try to think of what else do I «need» so I can shop there again.

Just had a day or two in town, needed a few essentials. Got what we needed and a bunch more! Susannah was SUPER friendly and helpful. She even took the time to open up some maps upstairs and gave us recommendations about where to go, what to do, the best times to visit different places, and even what to avoid. Can’t recommend this shop and Susannah highly enough — if you are in Durango, this is definitely a MUST STOP SHOP! It’s right on the main drag in town, prices are reasonable for the quality gear and it’s absolutely worth it for the abundance of local knowledge and friendly staff.
