Homewood Suites

Great location, Great hotel if you are visiting Durango. Rooms are pretty spacious, get free breakfast every morning (you can make your own waffles if you wish). The people that work there are very friendly and the hotel is right across the street from a shopping center. It’s a good spot that can be called a home away from home!

Newer hotel in the area and the rooms are very clean. Location is not the best but the staff is excellent and helps makes up for this issue. In fact I wanted to leave the fist day! We did have have some issues with the Wi-​FI. The rooms are almost sound proof. Someone had a dog in the room next to us and we could only here the dog barking from the hall. Again the staff was excellent and the rooms are great but beware of the location. Unable to open the windows in the room and had to run the A/​C, this might be an issue for some.

Extremely clean rooms, which we are very picky about. The staff was all friendly and helpful. We spent a week here and had no issues or problems at all. Best of all, Ska Brewery is walking distance .2 miles up the road, when you are not enjoying their brew at the Manager’s happy hour Mon-​Thurs. Breakfast was good, typical free breakfast. Pretty good coffee for a hotel too. The pool was nice and there is a basketball court. Highly recommend.

Every time I am in Durango I always stay at the Doubletree but since the Doubletree was booked I thought I would try out the Homewood Suites and just like any Hilton Hotel the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. You can tell this is a newer hotel as everything looked new and the carpet throughout the hotel was clean. The room was decently sized and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the fact they actually used king sized pillows. Overall the Homewood Suites is decently priced and definitely worth checking out. They also offer free breakfast and dinner as well as a courtesy shuttle. Only bad thing about this place is the Wifi never worked which was sort of a pain.

We stayed here in June for 3 days. Staff was excellent, the Manager even gave our car a jump when the battery died in the parking lot. Good breakfast and happy hour munchies. Grills for cooking your own food, nice kitchens. Property was spotless.

First trip to Durango area. Had no point of reference on lodging save the online reviews. Decided on Homewood due to amenities and recently opened. We were not disappointed! Good location (2.6 miles to center of town, and let’s face it… The 2 hotels in town are Victorian and not as modern and comfortable for families as this place!) and great amenities. The staff could not be nicer and very welcoming.
Great place to stay and enjoy Durango. We usually stay in Starwood but I must say that this is a reason for Hilton chain to be proud. Great experience and let’s hope it stays this fabulous!

My wife, 18 month old daughter, and in-​laws stayed here while I was hunting up in the mountains for 4 days. Every night when I called, all my wife could say was how great the entire staff was! When I came back to town, the staff asked about my hunt, knowing who I was from all the conversations they had with my family. This is a fantastic place to stay, and will be returning soon.

We only stayed here 2 nights but it was a great experience. The checkin staff was very friendly and we got our room immediately. We were on the first floor and the room was pretty immaculate. The kitchenette is an excellent touch and the bed was very comfy. It’s a few minutes out of town but that wasn’t an issue for anything we wanted to do. Overall, I would definitely recommend a stay here.

We stayed here in October and then returned to this hotel for a December trip because we truly enjoyed our stay. Check in is a breeze, rooms are super clean/​spacious, staff is friendly (even chat with you in the hall or elevator), breakfast included (eggs, bagels, scones, cereal, yogurt, juice), and it still has that nice/​new feel. Beds aren’t the most comfortable in the world but that’s me just being nit-​picky. We will definitely stay here for future trips to Durango.

Fantastic hotel on the edge of town.
Wonderful, helpful staff make this hotel feel like a large home. The free breakfasts and meals are great, with a good range of foods to choose from.
The rooms are well appointed and clean. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, with our kids sleeping on the fold out queen bed in the «living room», and we never felt cramped for space. A well appointed, if small, kitchen was great for the few times we felt like a home cooked meal.

Brand new hotel so really clean and super nice staff. Decent pool, hot tub, and gym. Free supper and breakfast during the week so that might be worth the 220 price point but on the weekend only breakfast is included. The hotel is kind out of the way with no river access or views.
