Probably the best Fish and chips In the country! The Irish coffee is amazing with the freshest cream floater — super yum! Sunday Celtic Jam is always so great! Some really talented musicians play here. Love this place! Great service too!

Absolutely terrible. Was not let in because«I was stumbling» a few feet in front of the door while wearing 4 inch heels. Have multiple witnesses to testify against this. Please avoid this place, Theo were absolutely unreasonable and I work in the restaurant business. Have never experienced this kind of treatment.

I can’t comment on the food of this place because we never had the opportunity to try it. Three of us came in at lunch and seated ourselves, per the sign at the entry. A group of five sat down at a booth beside our table at the same time. They were quickly greeted and had drink orders taken. Two people came in and sat at the bar and were served. Ten minutes later, two more people came in and sat at the table right beside ours. They were immediately greeted and had a drink order taken. We were never even acknowledged by the staff. The bartender made eye contact repeatedly and came out to meet the table behind us and never said a word to us. Needless to say, we left and had lunch elsewhere at the Carver Brewing Co, where we were immediately greeted, seated, and taken very good care of.

Yesterday morning 3 adults and 1 child went there for breakfast as most other restaurants HD lines and there wasn’t any at the Irish Embassy. Now I know why. Absolutely terrible. We sat in a window booth and our coffee and hot chocolate was delivered in about a half hour. Then we had to fight to get cream for the coffee. Then our breakfast was delivered after another long wait. The food was almost uneatable. This joint is probably the worse restaurant that I’ve had the displeasure to dine in. On top of everything it was way overpriced.

Went in for a late dinner. The place was empty. Hostess wanted to seat us at a table right by the door — you know, the kind with the seat sticking out in an awkward place. We asked for a different table and she refused. Said something about it not being fair for the wait staff. So sorry to want a comfy table while I hand over my hard earned money for your overpriced tourist food. We went elsewhere. You should too.

Thought we were going to have Thai, saw the great pricing for happy hour & quickly changed our minds. Really enjoyed the place & staff. We’re from The Villages in Florida & man could we use a place like this!

Very good(yet not quite great) fish and chips. Could have been cooked a tad longer, and the chips were a different cut than usual. Neither better nor worse, just unusual… Staff excellent, priced very reasonably, no crowds. I will definitely hit this place again. Best thing? No TVs, no jukebox noise, like a real pub where one can sit, relax and chat without shouting. If the cod was just a little more cooked(some of the batter wasn’t quite done), and they weren’t out of not only Ketchup but Guinness too(!?) I’d have no qualms with 5 stars. Try this place, it’s very nice, and you won’t be disappointed. Pro tip: get the half order of fish and chips, it’s plenty!

Best Guinness in town, fish and chips are fantastic, live music a couple days a week and a cool place for young hip crowds and slower paced old timers alike. After spending a good amount of time in Ireland, this place is the closest to authentic«Irish Pub» I have found in my experience in the states. I visit every time I come home, great place to meet friends or past professors for drinks. It’s open late and the lower portion of the bar and«The Underground» are a blast if your looking for more of a trendy night life feel.

I LOVE Durango and this was one of my favorite places to stop by when I was there! The atmosphere alone is worth 5 stars. It’s fun, it’s lively, it’s a great place to hang out with friends! We went here on St. Patrick’s Day one year and had a wonderful time. Pretty sure there was a shotski involved… but I digress. The Irish Embassy is a great place to stop by, whether it’s for a casual lunch or as one of your stops on a night out. Would definitely recommend!

Drink and drink and drink and drink and fight! Seriously though, the downstairs of this gigantic establishment has a most excellent long-table for tons of friends to hang out, eat gigantic piles of fish and chips, drink Irish brews, and tell old stories while watching a game. Heck, they even have excellent goat cheese and a nice hummus dish. NOSH!

My husband ordered the bangers and mash. I ordered a green-chili Irish cheese burger. It was also appetizer happy hour so we ordered charizo nachos. I usually won’t eat chorizo but the nachos sounded really good and were gluten free. Nachos were very good and served with a fiery hot sauce, sour cream, and guacamole. I would order them again.(See the photo). The bangers and mash are just as they sound; good sausage over mash with gravy. How can a man go wrong with that? The gravy has strong hints of rosemary that don’t overpower. My husband is making happy eating noises. The meat on my hamburger was cooked perfectly and had good flavor as did the Irish cheese. We would go back again.

Holy crap… I grew up in Houston and have eaten lots of yummy food there… even authentic Irish food that I raved about. And then, I flew into Durango and met the best Irish food, thus far, to date. Everything is fresh and it shows. We started with the Seafood Chowder which I could have had more of and just skipped my entrée… that is, until my Shepherd’s Pie arrived. And then I thought, dang Gina… sooooo good. Fresh vegetables, great flavors, and not too heavy even though that’s exactly what often comes to mind when you think of this dish. Perfection. Yup, and the beers were fabulous as well, but I got distracted with the food! Such a great find!

Another miserable experience in Durango. Went to watch soccer and lunch. No refills, average food, and I was charged $ 1 for a small side of ranch(about 3 teaspoons). This is the first time ever I got charged for a side of ranch in the USA. THis may be good for broke college kids, but it’s less than an average place with over exaggerated foods. Only one TV in the basement and a small monitor on the other side. This is a disgrace for Irish people and Ireland.
