We stayed at the casino for 4 nights and usually ventured out into Durant for dinner but we decided to try the steakhouse one night just to see what it had to offer. We weren’t disappointed. The mac and cheese that our server recommended was below average and with seven cheeses included, simply had too much going on. I ordered the filet and my brother got the ribeye. We were both very pleased as both steaks were extremely flavorful and the crusts were some of the best we’d ever seen. Not terribly pricey, especially when considering how freely chips get thrown around in the casino. Our only complaint was that it took a while for the steaks to be cooked, roughly 35 minutes from ordering to them being served. They were hot so it wasn’t the waiter’s fault but there has to be some way to expedite the process a little. 35 minutes is unacceptable. Would definitely dine here again.

Came here for dinner on a weekday and it was not very busy. Live piano music, the prime rib was pretty good and the prices were not that bad. Really good service but the food just did not stand out

We decided to treat ourselves to dinner here since we did well at the Blackjack tables. Maybe my expectations are higher than average since we have so many fantastic steakhouses in Frisco. We started out with the French onion soup. It tasted great but it was so hot that we had to wait for 10 minutes to even eat it. I think I got a 3rd degree burn from my first bite. We had to ask for plates for our bread. The bread was fantastic. My boyfriend ordered the buffalo burger without bacon because he has high cholesterol. I ordered the filet mignon oscar style. They brought our meals, I had to ask for a steak knife and wait for it to arrive. My boyfriend’s burger was covered in bacon so he had to send it back. We waited. And waited. And waited. I went ahead and ate my steak because it was getting cold. I pushed the oscar style crab to the side because it was extremely fishy, not fresh. After about 20 minutes they brought his burger. The mac and cheese was also fantastic. We were surprised when we got our check that we didn’t receive a comp or discount for the burger. For the prices we paid and the type of establishment they are(unsuccessfully) trying to accomplish, they should have comped the $ 18 burger. Any steakhouse at this price point would have done something for us, and they would’ve been much speedier when remaking the burger. Next time we will try our luck at one of the other restaurants on site.

Exceptionally marginal. If you like steak places like Logan or Texas Roadhouse, this is your place. for twice the price. If you like Ruth Chris, Pappas Brothers and the like, you will pay the same price for an experience that will disappoint. Steak was great. Limited wine selection. Pass on the shrimp cocktail. Terrible! Salads were mediocre at best. Waitress was nice but not much snap.

The restaurant has undergone new management and it was a great experience. David has turned the place around. The service was fast and the new menu was great. I recommend this place to anyone.

The steaks were excellent! We had a party of 5 and the service was great. My 11 year old son has to have broccoli with his steaks so we ordered the side of vegetables. For $ 6 we got 3 broccoli florets and two shreds of carrots. My son referred to them as tiny bridges in trees. A good laugh is all we got out of the vegetables :-/.

Reservations 9:30. 5 at table. Ordered 3 poker specials and 2 filets. We were informed they were out of lettice for wedge that it came with. Regular salad substitute OK. I Ordered 1 glass of house Cab to be served with steak(the only drink ordered), and Lobster bisque to be served after salad. 9:50 served salad and wine. 10:30 we were informed out of the steak for poker special(can’t figure out why they didn’t know this 1 hr ago) but would substitute a petite filet instead(lower price). Told waiter we would accept larger filet thank you and he agreed. 11:00 haven’t seen waiter or food or bisque in 30 minutes and we left restaurant. 11:20 ordered burger at restaurant still open at casino. 11:30 police arrived to collect for skipped check. Informed them of situation and they said they understood and left to get MO(?) 11:45 while eating burger police and MO(?) came back and demanded that we at least pay for wine. No problem except they wanted $ 20 for one glass of house wine. Offered them $ 10 and they took it. Is it just me, or is this very bad PR for what is supposed to be a good steakhouse?

Always disappoint. Food is bad, service is awful. Steak is overpriced & always takes forever to get our food. We say we never coming back but we do. Only because it’s so convenient. Sticking to the food court from now on.

Now this is a steakhouse. Best food outside of DFW metro. Relatively wide selection of beer and liquor — no Shiner Bock, but they had Sam Adams. Impeccable service: I never had to ask for another drink, it was always offered as soon as my drink got to the bottom quarter inch, and the same was true for everyone in our party of 6. My bone in rib eye was not the best steak I have ever eaten in my life, but it was certainly in the top ten, and I have eaten steak all over the country. Bravo Durant, and Bravo Choctaw Nation. We waddled out of there full, dizzy, and happy.

Worst steakhouse experience yet. The food was good, everything else was terrible. Made reservation for 2 at 8pm Sunday night. Arrived at 7:50 and we were told to wait in the lounge area. The restaurant was not more than 25 or 30% full. They werent crowded. We were seated at a table at 8:35. I can understand the wait if the restaurant was busy. After we were seated it took at least 10 minutes to bring a round of beverages. It took them the same amount of time to bring out some bread. The waitress started the conversation by telling us what they were not able to provide on their menu, and she made it sound like it was going to be a long list so I cut her off and said all we want to order is 2 fillets and she said no problem. We then placed our order, no appetizer, we just wanted the entrée. After waiting around 30 more minutes, a couple sits down at the table next to us and they order and after another 30 minutes the couple next to us gets their entrée, they had also received an appetizer during this time. So we are sitting here after over an hour, and someone who arrived 30 minutes after us has received their food before us. They also ordered two fillets. During this extended wait we had eaten the first portion of the bread that was brought out, and during this hour plus long wait we were never even asked or offered if we wanted any more bread. It sounds trivial but it would have softened the blow of having wait so long for the entrée. We began to walk out, and at that time the waitress brought our entrée and apologized for the wait. By then I really had lost interest in what was to be a great meal. So basically from when we were seated until we received our entrée it took an hour and 10 minutes. Understood if the restaurant was busy, which they werent and the kicker was that another couple received their food before us after they arrived 30 minutes after we did. Makes no sense. The manager came by for a very less than sincere apology during our wait for the meal. They did comp one round of drinks and I believe one of our side orders. I barely looked at the check when it arrived, I just paid it and left. I did tip the waitress 20% because it most likely wasn’t her fault for the terrible delay and lack of service. I have plans to be back at the casino in two weeks and would like to eat there again but after that terrible experience I am hesitant. I rarely review anything on Unilocal but I was so disappointed in the whole experience at what should have been a great steakhouse experience that I had to write this review. Fingers crossed if I decide to give it another go in two weeks.

Went to the casino had a a little winning s decided to treat my self to a meal. The Food was good. Every thing is a la cart like a traditional steak menu. They write your name out and address you by your last name. The service was Fantastic. The only reason they are getting a 3 star is because they need to put more lighting in there and my prime rib was not cooked medium throughout. It is too dark for A PREMIUM steakhouse. You could not even read the menu without a cell phone. Dim is great dark not good. Music that was playing was great. I took my food home, because it was too much and I didn’t feel like sending it back to be cook longer, but I would come back. I want to try the Chilean. Seabass. I had the prime rib okay not cook medium.

Bone in ribeye was really fantastic. Seasoned and cooked(medium) perfectly. We shared two for the table(my husband and I and our two young kids. Mac and cheese and asparagus was really good! The wine flight was an incredible deal. Great service. We never eat out when we want steak(besides 501 Ranch in OKC or traveling to a few other places) because steak at home with cuts from our market and on our grill can’t be beat. Except for tonight… Very impressed!

Service was excellent. Four of us went in for a calm relaxing dinner and we were not disappointed. Our server was gracious and spot on. The food was presented nicely but I had a chicken and risotto dish that was not even ok. My companions shared pork tenderloin. That was a mistake. Too small to share. The dessert was sub par but the coffee was excellent. More than excellent. We will go back another time but not for awhile.

This was our second trip here while we stayed at the resort for our anniversary. We live in DFW and have consistent exposure to the fine steakhouses here. On the good side, I had a filet which was pretty good although it could’ve used some more seasoning. The prices are very reasonable which is also refreshing. The Mac and cheese was also excellent. The negatives to me would be the atmosphere, wine list, and appetizers. It is actually just off the casino floor with no separation and they leave the doors open so you can actually see people smoking and playing slots which isn’t super appetizing. The wine list is short but prices are reasonable. They should improve the wines by the glass. We ordered crab cakes and they were lukewarm at best. Service was ok but fairly slow considering how small the restaurant is. We sat by the piano but he mostly played instrumental show tunes and kids songs which was odd. For southern Oklahoma this wasn’t too bad but it is definitely a notch below the Dallas steakhouses like Bob’s or 3 Forks.

1832 Steakhouse in the Casino — WOW was I pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food and staff were. No offense, but I just wasn’t expecting it. I’ve been to Vegas a bunch, had great food before, and this is after all… Durant, Oklahoma. How could I have known that I would have the most AMAZING steak there that I have ever had before. Bottom line, you need to get the Bone-In Ribeye or the Peppercorn Filet. The Sirloin is just that… a typical sirloin. This is a nice steakhouse so get a nice cut. Its good but not any better than one at another fine steakhouse would be. But the Bone-In Ribeye was hands down the finest steak I have ever had. Period. I’ve lived in West Texas. I grew up in Dallas. I know what a good steak tastes like. But this was out of this world. We all felt the same. Wish I knew how to grill like that. Going back just because of the steak!

The only thing I liked about this place was the atmosphere. I ordered the Lamb. Bad mistake. Should have since it back and ordered something else but I was hungry. We just drove up from dfw. Okay you three little lollipops for $ 35 and some mashed potatoes which might I add the waitress did tell before I order mashed potatoes and asparagus with my dinner. The lamb didn’t taste good at all. So for $ 35 you get mashed potatoes to enjoy. My girlfriend ordered the NY strip. Tough as boot leather and dry. Her mixed vegetables were good. We we had desert over at Gilly’s bar and grill. I will never eat here again.

My cousin & I were pleasantly surprised when we ate here before a concert at the Choctaw Events Center. We weren’t sure what restaurants would be available in the Casino, and we were looking for a nice atmosphere with good wine & fresh food. This Steakhouse had everything we wanted. The dining room was full when we arrived, so we were able to eat at the bar. We immediately had good service. We ordered a glass of the Malbec with the coconut shrimp appetizer & Caesar salad/house salads. We then split the scallops for our entrée. Every course was delicious and served in good time. The piano player was also a nice addition to our experience. We were very excited to find this place, since we visit Lake Texoma often with our family & friends. We definitely look forward to returning soon!

Nicest restaurant in the area. Food is always good only matched by the high quality wait staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel taken care of. This coupled with the live piano and great waiting area for wine with friends make this a must visit. The chef prepared Meals are a favorite of everyone in my group as they always provide a unique experience from 5 spice duck to a 32 oz lobster.
