Being a traceability technician for Enterprise Oil and Gas, I knew that I’d only be in Durant for 90 days. I called this company and got a townhouse, that is normally $ 1200/month for a 6 month or longer lease. The manager and I made a deal that I’d pay a $ 1800 security deposit and $ 1800/month. The contract CLEARLY states that the lease agreement ended on May 31. I even told the manager on May 1st, when I paid my rent, that this was the last month. I then called a week before leaving requesting someone to come inspect the house, which no one was available. The manager called me 2 weeks after my departure(on May 31st) and states that I should have given a «written» notice, and kept my $ 1800 security deposit. The house was in immaculate condition when I left, to which the manager had even confirmed over the phone, prior to the scam that she pulled on me. Being a man working on the road to provide for his wife and 5 children, to say that I am perturbed would be the greatest understatement of all time.

My family moved into this property with the impression that the staff was helpful. They all seemed so nice. When our lease was up I cleaned the house, even vacuumed closets and swiffered mini blinds. We left 2 days before the last date agreed to on our lease, making sure everything was in perfect order. I asked about my deposit and they told me it’d take 30 days to process info. When I asked again, I was notified that we would not get the money back. The contract I reread 100 times stated that if we went passed our contract date then we would go month to month and then have to give a 30 day written notice. We didn’t go passed but the date but they used that to keep my very hard earned money. The lady hung up on me with nothing resolved.
