I set up a session to receive a quote from Chad regarding hardwood flooring in our upstairs master bedroom and guest room. When Chad came over, he measured the bedrooms and told me that he needed to go back to the office to come up with the quote. He asked me again for confirmation of my contact information which I gave him and promised a call by end of business day. It has been 3 weeks. I never heard from Chad again. I left work early to come home that day to meet with him, but apparently my business was not worth his time. However, from everything that I’ve read online in regards to reviews of this company, I probably saved myself a lot of hassle. Update a few days after my initial review: I received a phone call from Chad at Carpet One based on a complaint I left with his manager. He called and proceeded to yell at me on the phone about how he did call me but I never called him back. I have no record of him calling me or leaving a voicemail. He continued to yell at me when I told him this and called me a liar. This was definitely uncalled for and made me glad that I didn’t end up working with them. They should be ashamed that they have a sales person yelling at customers. I highly recommend looking somewhere else.

The absolute worst experience i can remember in dealing with a retailer or a home services professional. I had a runner installed in September. That was great. then they took the overrun and said they’d make a small rug from it. great. in addition, we ordered an additional piece to complete the runner. Since September, We have called literally dozens of times, talked to the manager, talked to the owner –still they haven’t finished the job. They’ve made a least ½ dozen appointments to come, and never came, never called. Many promises to ‘get back to us’ and never get a call back. Finally, they came! great –only they tried to install the left over piece that they said they had already bound into a rug and didn’t have the new piece i ordered to complete the job. That was in the beginning of December. Again, told I’d get a call back, that they had everything straightened out. That was two weeks ago. 2−2−11: just an update that once again they promised to install today and never showed up. Really can’t figure these guys out. We did pick up our remnant which appears to be bound. We’re done. We’ll have to live with what we got. All i can say is if you do business with them, it’s your own fault. You’ve been warned. 3-15-2011: Follow up: About the end of Feb, I ended up calling Carpet One corporate. This actually got results. Carpet One Durham showed up in less than a week, and installed the carpet. The installer did a great job and the runner looks great. Literally took the guy less than 25 minutes to complete the job. I’ll never understand why they did what the did. I might consider Carpet One in Greensboro since corporate clearly cares about the customer and was very responsive to me.
