This is not really a café, really more of an expanded self-service counter. Twice a day, in the morning and afternoon there’s a work-study person who prepares some small snacks and can make an espresso for you, otherwise there is a pretty fancy automatic coffee machine. Step up from a Keurig. But, everything is free and there is a nice seating area. This place is part of SSRI, and Gross, the building it is in, is in the last stages of being renovated. So there still is some construction going on. The space with the café has a lot of associated meeting spaces and is pretty much surrounded by small classrooms/meeting rooms. I’m not sure how much SSRI will use these areas one they are fully moved in, but for now it is a pretty nice area for a break or some reading(if you can deal with some background noise from the construction).
