The owners were great! I had them install a Sirius radio on my 2006 car and they did such a good job. Very nice people. I would recommend them for sure.

I really liked these guys. At first, I was going to get my remote starter put in by Best Buy, which looked a lot cheaper. However(surprisingly), the big box store had very limited hours for their installation department, which made it hard to find a time to drop off my car. The more I looked into it, I was going to be charged an extra $ 50, another $ 35 there, all for things that came included from the guys at Davenport. I wanted the SmartStart option that allows you to start your car from an app on your cell phone(the TV commercial totally reeled me in!). They did a good job of explaining the features, the added cost from the company itself should I want GPS tracking and the integration of the key fob. I didn’t get off work in time to pick up my car during their normal business hours, so I asked them to just leave my keys in the car, and I’d pick it up afterwards. I showed up 40 minutes after they closed, and the guy had stayed late, saying he didn’t want to risk the safety of my vehicle, so he stuck around. Great service! I’m more than a year out, and I still really love the auto start. I haven’t had a single problem with their installation(the SmartStart app itself has been another story, and has failed to «communicate» on a few occasions). I no longer live in the area, but as I find myself wanting to get a stereo and auto starter installed on our new 4×4 vehicle, I thought of Davenport Customs, and really wish they could do the work for us. Oh, the only reason I knocked off a star is that it took a couple times to get in contact with them from their online«contact us» link. The kid working the first time I went in told me that happens sometimes when customers type it in wrong – nah man, it just didn’t work – don’t try to shift the blame to the customer. Other than that, everything was smooth sailing.

Cool little spot. Got a good deal on tint for my car. Didn’t take long to install either. Ms Davenport at the front desk is super cool, very helpful and welcoming. I plan on having them put in car stereo once I purchase it. I definitely recommend these guys.

Rude! I did not /will not do business with these folks. I called with a simple question about installing an auxiliary input which I intended to have them do but I got bad attitude, condescending comments a quote for over $ 300(before they asked about my car and stereo) and a recommendation to «take it to the dealership». I go out of my way to support small local businesses but with attitude like that, forget it.

Davenport Customs provides great service. I got automatic start installed on my car about a year and a half ago. It’s great for warming up my car in the winter before I even leave my apartment. After having to get my battery replaced, the automatic start remote no longer worked. I took my car back to Davenport Customs and they fixed the problem within an hour. Ryan did a great job, and I would highly recommend them.

This place gave me a great deal for window tinting on my Lexus, but they completely trashed my car. They actually had to do the tinting twice because there were bubbles EVERYWHERE after the first time they installed the tint. After the first install, I noticed some dings and scratches in the interior. They said that they didn’t do the damage, but would try to fix it. After the redo of the tint, there were EVENMORE scratches and dings. They even appeared to step on my door panel while it was off the car. I found out the worst part later… they scraped over the rear defroster and broke it. This was over $ 1000 to repair. Their only response was that I can’t prove they did it and refused to do anything about the damage that they caused. I love my Lexus and these guys treated it like it was a beater. Don’t take your car here if you want it treated well.

When I spoke with Jimmy who I think owns Davenport about putting sound deadening in my doors, a subwoofer under the seat and a custom remote audio input connection for my factory radio, I didn t expect that mild-mannered, casual individual to be so good. When I got the car back, there was an issue through no fault of theirs and they fixed it on the spot without complaint and in good spirits even though it took parts and over an hour of their time. They exceeded my expectations, did beautiful work, gave me very good value, and are really nice people to boot! I would trust my car to them in the future and already have more plans for them. I have no connection to this store other than finding one near my home so I could walk home. What a pleasant surprise!
