Budget-​friendly alert… Verdict: Not too shabby!
As all of my reviews go my motel ratings are based on the bedding since I’m usually only in a motel for a few hours to crash while I’m on the road. Bedding here was very comfortable and on the newer side + tons of pillows. Television was (for my standard) enormous!
Bathrooms could definitely use an update and a scrub down with a little extra elbow grease but I wasn’t uncomfortable using the facilities by any means.
Staff was especially pleasant to deal with and lest we not forget to mention: There’s a super sweet well-​maintained outdoor pool here. Don’t forget to pack your swimsuit!

This is the most Disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. Words cannot explain the poor condition of this room. From exposed wires, peeling plaster, to missing and broken fixtures in the bathroom. They even painted many hardware and the outlet/​switch covers. Do yourself a huge favor and sleep in your car before even considering this place. I took lots of pictures of this crappy place and can forward them if asked.

Stayed here for work for a week, microwave (didn’t work, and was padlock and chained) and 3 days of requesting maintenance still nothing, A/​C didn’t do more than cool the room slightly, shower fluctuations between ice and volcano.
We had 3 rooms and everyone else had the same problems.

I recently made a last-​minute trip to Durham and stayed here to save some money. I regret that decision. The room was pretty standard for a motel — it seemed relatively clean but was nothing special. However, after I left I noticed itchy bites all over my arms, which it turns out were from bed bugs. This experience was horrible, uncomfortable, irritating, and cost me more money since I had to visit a doctor to get checked out. The only good thing I can say is that I was given a refund for my stay. If you’re visiting Durham though, I’d stay somewhere else.

Not that bad for the price. Bedding was kinda damaged. (Burn marks, holes, etc) Bathtub was yellow, looked like it was painted and then the water damaged the paint. Steps upstairs were lumpy, and I’m not so good on my feet so I almost tripped so be careful! Desk was stained, paint was cracking off in some places.
But overall. Yeah not bad for the price. AC was nice and cold. which was ace for this 90+ degree weather. Pool looked nice, didn’t have a chance to use it though. Enough pillows and towels, didn’t have to ask for any more. The computer chair and recliner were nice and comfy.
Front desk staff was pretty good. We’ll see about breakfast in the mornin’ but I’m sure its the usual fare which works for me. Oh and free wifi is nice! :)
Make sure you look online for a good deal, would not pay full price. We paid about 70 $ after taxes, and still feel like it was a bit too much for what we got. But I’m not too disappointed!

I guess you get what you pay for, very cheap rate but the room was very dirty and old, think 1970. Also this is a motel so your door opens to the parking lot.

Desk help was polite and friendly. Room was fairly clean, but the sheets were holed with cigarette burns. Luckily with a tip, the next night the sheet were much better. Air conditioning was strong, water was hot. Bathroom was not so clean the first night, but much better the second. The chiseled stairs of unflat cement steps were awkward but climbable. Not sure if there was an elevator for the second floor. Free wifi was very convenient. The free breakfast was also not bad, bagels, muffins, even a do-​it-​yourself waffle maker, oj, coffee, cereal. Too bad there wasn’t any fruit. Room rate was reasonable, look for specials online. Close to highway, so convenient, but hidden behind the Comfort Inn. Plenty of parking. Not so fond of the other clientele there, but lucky my neighbors were quiet. Big outdoor pool for the kiddies.
Good for the price.
