Doctors Making Housecalls

This company is a rip off to the Medicare industry! My mother has Alzheimers and is a resident at Woodland Terrace in Independant Living in Raliegh, NC, with two round the clock nurse aids. She has NO medical problems, no medications except 5 ml of Lexapor per day. She is currently 80 and walks 3 miles per day and attends daily exercise classes at Woodland Terrace.
In January, after repeated billings of doctors stopping in to see her without my approval over the pass year – I had to provide a Durable Power of Attorney on file with them to make and appointment let alone receive any treatment; I requested that they contact me prior to stopping and billing Medicare and her.
They continued to see her every 3 months, when she was in perfect health, except for the Alheimers, which is managed by the aids. When I called they said that they come every 3 months regardless of the note that was on her file to contact me prior to drop in visits; she could not continue to be a patient unless we committed to the quarterly visits. I spoke to two supervisors, that told me the same thing.
There is no cure for Alheimers. She has tried the medications with awful side effects. I manage her care and am in I close contact with her care givers and Woodland Terrace monoriting her and any deterioration.
This organization, not the doctors, the administration is stealing from Medicare and elderly clients. What a shame – if you do not need to see a doctor four times a year, you can not depend on them! My mother has been healthy all of her life, with very little need for care from doctors. Instead of being held in high esteem by the medical the community, I was told my mother could not be a patient if she was not seen four times per year! Wow, what a sad organization, being held hostage for being healthy! Steer clear of Doctors Making House Calls, unless you want to be taken to the cleaners financially. This is fraudulent abuse of tax payers money!
