I went to ENO River State Park for the ENO Rover Association’s music festival in July. It was a last minute slightly out of the way addition to a NY to California road trip with a friend, and we were super glad we took the extra time to go. First off, the park is gorgeous, but as it has its own page I will avoid getting into that here(or at least try to.) I was really impressed by the ERA’s organization for the event, and the sheer number of vendors and talent prevalent at the festival. I was a bit worried about parking my car off-site and having to depend on the shuttle, but we had absolutely no wait or hassle getting to the park or back. There were tons of food options at the park, great ENO boards we could scribble on, lots of craft booths and the music… Ahh, the music! I don’t know who’s in charge of selecting the musical talent for the festival, but they were spot on. We discovered the festival because of the Mountain Goats, and left huge fans of the Mispo Trio, Ellis, and more. I’m living on the West Coast now, but I hope I’ll be able to make it to the ENO River fest again sometime, as the ERA does such a nice job of hosting this event… The misting tents were a really nice touch on such a hot, sunny day :)
