I usually find them outside«The Bar» on Rigsbee(usually after about 9PM). The grinders I’ve had so far have been über-delicious. While the meatball sub is a really solid sandwich, I’d highly recommend the turkey BLT with cranberry if they happen to have it on the menu when you are there. It’s truly bonkers and one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, period. Equally impressive with the food itself are the owners, Ariana and Bunker, who have an incredibly positive and engaging attitude. It seems that every time we stop by they exude love for what they are doing and for each other. That’s the kind of winning team I want to throw my support behind!

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Durham, NC
So while doing one of my weekend walks around Durham today I stumbled upon a psychedelic looking food truck called Grindage outside of The Bar on Rigsbee that I had never heard about before. Needless to say I had to try it out. I immediately thought of grinder as the new england slang term for a sub and while they are doing New York style sandwiches I wasn’t surprised when the friendly dude who greeted me told me he was from Boston(thought the other person in the truck, his wife?, was from NYC). After looking over the menu which was a mix of breakfast items(which don’t seem to be as great of a deal as their sandwiches but I haven’t tried) and their sandwiches I settled on the San Genaro Parm sub. It was described as sauteed onions, green peppers and italian sausage covered in mozarella. For 8 bucks you get the sandwich, a pickle spear, a bag of Mrs. Vicks brand chips and a soda. Definitely a fair deal and some of the other combos are only 6 or 7. The sandwich comes out and man, trust me this place won’t leave you hungry. Look at the pictures I attached but it was a big sandwich absolutely stuffed with toppings. While I appreciate quantity, quality is always more important but I took a bite and I was happy. The sausage was damn good, the vegetables perfectly sauteed and I can’t complain about the abundance of cheese that was on it. The guy I was talking to raved about their meatballs which now I definitely want to try. They do have a vegetarian caprese option which seems relatively light but most of their menu seems to be hearty fare. At the end of the day it was a damn good sandwich for a completely fair price. I think it is a truck you should definitely try, but make sure you come hungry.
