I have been coming here for 6 months and unless you get the guy, you are out of luck. I went to get a pedicure(french) and the lines were very thick and crooked… When I told the lady, she said that it was because of the way my toenails grow. I have been getting pedicures every 2 weeks for 7 years now and I have never been told that. I then said to take it off and that I didn’t want French nails anymore and then they started speaking in another language for the rest of the time I was there. This is not the first time they have been disrespectful and Honestly, the only reason I kept coming it’s because I live and work rigth besides the mall. Guess I’ll be going to La Vie Nail Spa where they know how to treat their customers and do a great job.

I have been to Hollywood nails 3 times… Sadly. I have been there for a plain manicure. Chipped the next day. I have been there for a designed manicure. He messed up and didn’t fix it. I have been there for acrylic. Don’t get me started. They made it too thick and cheap as hell. I hate that place. My friend went there and they messed up her French tip so she had them do a regular manicure instead and they charged her for French anyways. These people do NOT know what they are doing that place needs to go out of business IMMEDIATELY! They don’t care if they mess up they keep it anyways and get mad when you ask for them to fix it. Terrible terrible terrible. GOTOAVALONNAILSINSOUTHPOINTINSTEAD!

I’ve visited a LOT of nail salons in the CH/Durham area in search of the perfect pedicure. While I admit this place is not exactly the crem de la crem, it is fairly priced, consistently good and I’ve never left being anything other than satisfied. AND with even the least expensive pedi you get a really nice massage, which is perfect today due to my obnoxious shin splints caused by training for an upcoming race. The staff is very friendly and professional. They do speak in their native language(which was commented on by a few others) but I always bring a book, ignore the chatter and enjoy my «me» time.

Friendly service but cramped atmosphere. Manicure was $ 14, lasted 10 mins. including nail color, and is chipping 4-days later.

I had my nails done here this past weekend — The salon is right next to the kiddie playground area inside of the mall. I noticed the sign outside for a $ 15 acrylic fill in and it was definitely time to get mine redone, so I ventured inside. The only guy working there did my nails, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. He definitely paid attention to detail and did a great job on my nails. They look even better now than when I first got the gel nails put on! Although he knew that I had gel nails when I walked in, he didn’t try and pressure me to spend the extra bucks to do the gel fill in — which I definitely appreciated. He was very friendly and worked efficiently. I asked for the french manicure, and he used the airbrush technique — I love how perfect they come out when it is done that way. The white part of the nail definitely seems like it is holding up better without getting messed up, too. In the end, the total came to $ 20(before tip), and I left with a great manicure for a great price. If I’m back in the area, I would definitely go there again.

Hollywood nails is tucked in the corner right next to JC Penny’s. It’s your typical hole-in-the-wall nail salon that is run by people who speak english, but don’t. I bring THAT up because i KNOW they were talking about me last night while I was getting my pedicure. I may not speak their language, but a point and laugh in all cultures pretty much means they’re talking about you. Don’t likes. It’s not my fault I have a really small pinky toe! I was in desperate need of a pedicure, I was also in a rush and the higher scale places wanted me to come back the next day, which I did not have time for. Hollywood nails took me in right away. Although there was some awkward waiting time(they filled up the pedi tub and had me sit there for 10 minutes), they were fairly speedy with the pedicure and they did a decent job on the pedicure itself. I’d give the actual pedicure a three star. As I was sitting there, feeling bad for myself as they were pointing and laughing at me. I happened to look around and started scolding myself. These are the type of nail places that always end up on the news for dirty pedicures that give people a fungus that last the rest of their lives. I seriously play Russian roulette coming into these kind of places. Well i gave my feet a good rubdown with alcohol when i left so don’t worry about me today. I would worry about yourself if you came in here though. If you need a cheap quick mani-pedi, go for it. just make sure you’re wearing your thick skin in case they want to point and laugh at you… and bring some hand sanitizer to disinfect afterwards.
