ONCEAGAIN. DISGUSTING. This is what I used my Hilton honors points on!!! There was a ring of dirt in the tub before I’d even used it. The toilet is disgusting. There is mold in the shower. The refrigerator is always dirty upon arrival. These rooms are disgusting. This place. Is. Disgusting. Steer clear. Tried to give it another chance but. Ugh. You’d be better staying at a red roof. Same quality, adequate price.

This is a letter I just wrote to the assistant general mgr. It’s one of the best hotels I have stayed at, and I have stayed in A LOT of places! Pls read and form your own opinion from my recap of my experiences as well! Hi Dustin, I am going to post this review of the hotel on Unilocal as well as the hotel’s Facebook page, but I wanted to share my experience with you as well. I have been traveling to the Durham area since March, and have stayed at several other hotels in the area; however no place makes me feel as «at home» and makes my time away from home easier than Durham Homewood Suites. I have been staying here during the week since Sept, and will continue to stay here throughout my time on this work assignment. This decision is not only based on the comfort of the rooms, or the convenience of location– it is based on the staff here! For example, Monday, 12/2, when I arrived, I was exhausted. I battled the airports in the morning, then had a long day at work, so upon check-in I truly just wanted to go to my rm and relax, but I wasn’t checked in yet. So I approached the counter, and Mark was taking care of a guest. The guest had to search for additional information needed upon check-in, so Mark kindly asked the other guest to step aside while he checked me in. Mark quickly checked me in, and made keys for my favorite room(it is close to the lobby and the water pressure is amazing). I was juggling a few bags, along with my suitcase, and my purse. I told him I would be back to pick up the bag I left in the office from my previous stay and he said, «No need to come back! Daniel put that along with a few of your packages in your rm.» I was thrilled, yet puzzled by the term«packages» because I did not know what he was talking about. When I opened the door, the light was on, my purple duffle bag was in the room along with 2 packages I ordered from Amazon 2 wks prior that I had forgotten about, along with 2 bottles of water and cookies! I was extremely thankful that they arrived, and were«hand delivered» by your staff! The next morning, the television kept flickering to «no signal», so I called and spoke with Ibrahim to let him know. He assured me that he would take care of it while I was at work. When I came home from work, a note was left by the staff member who had fixed the televisions letting me know the issue was resolved along with a candy bar! Now this was just an example of the stellar guest service that you and your staff work so hard to achieve on a daily basis. The food at breakfast and dinner is always fresh and truly delicious! I brag to my colleagues about staying here, and how good the home-cooked meals are when I get home. So thank you for your hard work in encouraging your staff to truly represent! I have yet to encounter a staff member who does not smile and greet me in the hall. It is evident that you and your staff take pride in their work! Please provide me with your supervisor’s email address so I can ensure you are recognized for your accomplishments! Thank you,
