Forgot to mention that two attempts to get a manager bore no result. We stood witness to the customer service desk paging and calling extensions over and over. I provided feedback to Lowe’s Corp.

They have the worst customer service! Don’t waste your time or your money on this place. You can stare them in the eyes 4 times at the counter and they will still NOT offer to help you, they would rather continue on their conversation with another employee then actually help a customer. The cashiers don’t try to help you with anything even if you ask to speak to a manager, ALLOFTHEMAREUSELESS and RUDE! By the way to all of the DIY people, their prices are ridiculous! The locally owned shops are much cheaper and have much better attitudes.

Well it’s a Lowe’s. The people inside were nice and friendly enough. I found what I needed and got out fairly quickly. My only complaint is the number of registers open. Only two open inside and two in gardening. The two in gardening had more than 5 customers apiece waiting. The two inside were really not any better, but it’s cooler inside. What kind of manager isn’t prepared for Saturday rushes at a Lowe’s?

Roxboro Rd Lowes. is a bit shady. . Returning plants one year is the same home depo, will take back, certain kinds. I returned two plants, palm, and bush type. I normally keep purchases on my credit card, swipe your card and all your items will show, butt today i hear, BUTTWECANTTELLWHENYOUPURCHASEDTHOSE. WEHAVE A SIGNOUTSIDE. return counter Wednesday. .long hair Sooo rude. we dont take that back. on and on. Could you call management, thank you. .she still was trying her authority, against me, on the phone explaining MYTWOPLANTS. Just nasty. nasty for no reason. This person should be assigned to late nite stocking. .no customer contact. Customers dont just love wasted gas, time, energy, their hard earned monies, with Lowes. to be treated, like the dead plants, that dont thrive. 45.00 for plants and up keep one visit is nothing to shun or treat nasty.

Lowes is a great place to come in for 1 thing and come out with 5. Not that that’s a good habit to have. I went in to get hooks for me to install a porch swing. The first thing I saw was light bulbs and remembered that I needed lightbulbs for my bedroom ceiling fan. The fixture has unique bulb settings and the size is between the regular size and candelabra. They only had one package among the hundreds of bulbs and it was already opened. Hesitantly I bought them anyway hoping they will work. We will see! by the way I found the hooks I need it for the swing also

Returns are pretty easy, I bought two door locks that ended up not being compatible with my doors. They took both locks back despite one being taken out of the package. I had misplaced my receipt as well, but the return center cashier was able to look the purchase up with my credit card. Easy peasy! I have confidence in purchasing items now that I know I can bring them back without a hassle if I should purchase an incorrect size.

I quit going to Home Depot years ago, when I would get sub-standard assistance, had trouble returning things for perfectly reasonable complaints, and found Depot employees generally grumpy. Lowes is the flip side: helpful employees, overflowing with tips and suggestions on how to accomplish home improvement tasks, great prices, great service, great return policies. I(heart) Lowes. The new store on MLK Blvd @ Fayetteville(Durham) is superb, well laid out, and superstar employees. Worth the drive down there.

Words do not describe how much I love Lowes. It may just be this location, but everyone in this store is so damn helpful! I mean, I walk in with pictures on my iPhone and I can find someone in the right department who can tell me what to do. Let me tell you a story… I am trying to sell my house now and my Realtor suggested a few repairs. I write up all the measurements and count up all the knobs and realize I have no idea how to finish the edges around my ceilings. But, cameraphone in hand, I head to Lowes. 1) I measured my air conditioning vents wrong. So I ask the lady in the plumbing department and she pulls out a tape measure and measures the vents with me to find the one I need based on my stupid measuring. 2) She then helps me with my new faucet. Instead of pushing the in) she shows me AND explains to me how to replace it myself. Right now I feel pretty effing confident about replacing that faucet. 3) THEN she tells me exactly how to fix the edges on my ceiling. I mean down to the exact caulk type. I am a do-it-yourselfer. I have been to MANY home improvement stores and I can easily say there is no better place that the Lowes of North Durham. Not only is the staff helpful and friendly, they actually know what they’re doing! I have never encountered a person there who got the glossed over look of not knowing what you’re talking about when you explain your problem. Or worse, associates that have that dead-eye look but still trying to explain to you how to do something even though they don’t know what they’re talking about. That’s the worst! I’ve been to places half knowing what I need and the associate will explain to me the wrong stuff! I need to go to a home improvement store that has people who know home improvement! And that’s why I go to Lowes.
