New Balance Store

I needed a comfortable pair of shoes because I’m on my feet all day and get a lot of pain. I decided to try New Balance and found this store online. I was happy the moment I walked through the door. I was greeted and helped through the entire process. I now have a comfortable pair of shoes that fit my feet perfectly.

Went there the other day to purchase a pair of running shoes. The moment I walked in I was approached by a gentleman named Steve who reminded me of Bryan Cranston’s character «Walter White» from Breaking Bad and who would proceed to provide me with a textbook example of how a truly satisfying shopping experience should be. Extremely knowledgeable. He was very professional and went through the entire gamut from sizing up my feet to very patiently going into great detail over the biomechanics of running and which shoe would be best suited for my foot based on my gait (i.e. heel strike vs. mid-​foot strike vs. toe strike, etc.) He was able to answer all my questions and made sure I was able to find the right shoe for my feet. I never felt I was being rushed or pressured to make a purchase. In the end I was not able to make a purchase in store since I had an online gift certificate code from New Balance corporate and this is a franchised store. Despite this, Steve was more than happy to provide me with the details of the shoe size & model number which I had tried on in the store. Overall, a very pleasant and professional shopping experience. Kudos to you Steve! You’re an invaluable asset to your store & the New Balance brand!

I generally don’t like these type of freestanding «one brand» semi-​outlet stores for running shoes (yep, I get mine at Dick’s or somewhere similar), but I had a gift certificate for here and thus popped in when I needed a new pair of kicks. I’m certainly glad that I did!
The staff was very approachable and knowledgeable, and no one pestered or attacked me as soon as I walked through the door. Instead, I was politely asked if I needed any help and then left to browse freely. Ultimately, I did need help and had some questions so I gave a holler and subsequently got some 1 on 1 help from a very approachable and well-​versed staff member. He answered all my questions and got me fitted in a new pair of running sneakers in a few minutes!
I probably won’t be frequenting this store much as the sneakers and apparel are a bit out of my price range when I’m not armed with a trusty gift card, but I definitely had a very good experience here. Should I become a more dedicated runner or be fortunate enough to score another gift card in the future, I will definitely be back!

It is a smallish store, so it was easy to spot the display I was interested in. (All I wanted was a pair of cross-​trainers.) In the 15 seconds or so that it took me to narrow my search, a staff member came up and asked if I needed any help. He answered my one question directly (which in fact led me to the less expensive of the two models I was considering), and brought out the exact pair I requested. After walking around the store for a bit with them on, I found no reason to not buy them.
Including ringing up the sale and finishing the credit card transaction, I was out of there in about seven minutes… Now that’s MY idea of shopping!

This is an outlet, so limited selection. The selection was still quite good, although the discounts were somewhat modest.
That said, just 1 star because although someone said hello to me as I walked through the doors, I was surprised that no one asked if I needed help as I concentrated for several minutes, looking through the available running jackets for women. Needless to say, an older woman walked in after me, and was immediately swarmed by staff who tried to assist her and her husband. There were at least a handful of staff who could have been helping throughout this small store.
I realized at that point that the selection and deals there weren’t worth it to linger any longer and make a purchase. I don’t think I’ll return unless I know exactly what I want ahead of time and think the deal is worth it.
