I’ve been to a lot of mechanics in the Triangle area… and I think I’ve finally found my spot. The staff is friendly, honest, and they helped me pass inspection, for which I was long overdue! It’s great to be greeted by name.. . will definitely be back!!!

This place is great. Free wifi, cable tv, helpful mechanic and they give diacount for Duke people. Will come back here for next oil change.

This place is the best. I’ve come in with my bumper hanging off twice and they reattached it free of charge both times. They’re also quite reasonable for oil changes, windshield wiper replacements, and other car needs. And the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone who has car problems in the area. A+ work.

We really like Northgate Auto. We used them when we used to live in Durham (2007 — 2011) and loved them then, and have gone back to them now that we’re back in town, and they’re as good as ever. They seem to be very honest, even recommending against repairs that would have been good business for them, just because the car was becoming a money pit and they recognized that. Their fees are also quite reasonable, if not borderline cheap. Super happy, definitely recommend them to friends.

I really appreciate these guys for being straight up with estimates.
They will also work with you if you buy your own parts at Auto Zone. A competitor in town will charge you about $ 100.00 just to hook your car up to a computer for diagnostic reviews of your car. No way, not this family run business and I won’t take my car any where else. They installed my windshield wipers for free.

It is difficult for a garage to earn my trust. I have tried many in Durham and Northgate Express has the best combination of honesty and knowhow that I have found. They are diligent and they do not overcharge. They have earned my loyalty.

Great place to take your car to for repairs. They are always nice and just do what you want them to do at very reasonable prices. I don’t know the owners name but he always has a smile on his face and will do the best he can to take care of you. I won’t be taking my car anywhere else anymore. Thanks for the great service.
