Sanders Florist

I was extremely disappointed when my mother, brother, and future sister-​in-​law visited sanders today. We went with hopes of buying flower arrangements for my father’s funeral. When we arrived we simply began browsing the flower arrangements on display. An employee came to the counter and I explained that we were wanting to explore the different flower arrangements and prices for a visitation service that would be held across the street at Clements funeral home the following evening. She was very short and brief and seemed to not have much time or want to actually help us. She kept saying «We are closing at 3 due to the snow so I need to know now what you’ll want…» I have been to this florist before for prom corsages but nothing other than that. I’ve really only used the florist because it’s a small family business that I am acquainted with. But I was extremely thrown off guard with the lack of willingness to serve a customer. I’m not looking for people’s sympathy but the employee didn’t even show their condolences for our family. I know this particular florist works with Clements often and probably didn’t necessarily need our service, but planning a funeral with no prior arrangements made in advance can be very hectic and I did not appreciate being nearly shooed away. I understand the weather conditions but as I write this it is almost 3:30pm and 50 degrees outside. I think we would’ve been done business with this florist, if we were treated as if we mattered. I would not recommend this florist, especially for those in grief. Hope you take this into consideration before considering to do business with this company.

I called and tried to do business with this shop over the phone. The person I spoke with just wanted me to callback with a number from «their» website that had only FTD options, and said they would try to match that as best they could. I wanted her to consult me, as Im not a flower guru, and give me a fair price for an arrangement. She said 1 or 2 lily stems and 1 rose stem along with the filler flowers was going to run me $ 50 to start! Get outta town lady. Then when I tried to use something from the website she debated with me about what would be included. I eventually just told her to forget it because she wasn’t really trying to earn my business.

I love Sanders Florist! They are always friendly and put together great wrapped flowers for great prices. You just tell them how much you want to spend, anywhere from $ 5-​$ 20 and they will get you a beautiful boquet together within moments.
