Satisfaction Restaurant and Bar

The most satisfying thing about Satisfaction is the name. It’s just a joint with mediocre to poor food. Hardly notable and will not return. Bummer, we thought because it was in the Brightleaf area it would better.

This used to have really good pizza. We went last night and ordered the buffalo chicken. The wait staff was great but the pizza had minimal chicken, no sauce and globs of cheese. The crust was good.
We won’t be back.

When my husband & I arrived we were promptly greeted and seated. Then it all went down hill from there. I’ve learned to order food that is synonymous with a particular establishment. So I knew not to order anything but bar type specialties. EPIC FAIL ! My Husband ordered a grill chicken sandwich and fries. I ordered hot wings & fried okra. The kitchen could not even get that right. The wings were hard and the sauce was bland. The okra was super soft and completely indigestible. My husband only ate half his sandwich before admitting «this was a bad pick babe «. Also, we were seated by two annoying groups who were so loud. We contemplated a dine/​dash just to teach them a lesson for the night, J/​K … Seriously don’t waste your money or time here !!!

We are visiting NC. Hotel recommended this place as it was walking distance. Food basically was terrible. Honey wings were swimming in sauce. So much that we ate 3 or 4 out of 20 and left the rest. We didn’t even want them to go. The nachos were not to tasty. Most had nothing on them. Not enough toppings put on. My Carolina burger had lots of crunchy stuff (gristle) in it. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The service was not amazing. We sat outside and the view was great on this little plaza but the service seemed to forget about us. They would come out occasionally but after waiting for a long while we decided to go inside to pay as they seemed to be oblivious to our existence. The food is fine and the beer choices are extensive but the service was so sub-​par

Kind of seedy in a way, not very busy, the food was kind of average (cheddar bbq burger) the fries were limp and not really cooked very well, but the strong bow gold cider was tasty. Would have to try them again to see if things are different.

I didn’t like this place too much. The service was great but I ordered a pizza which tasted really strange. I had frozen pizza the next day and that was much better. We ordered nachos to share which were alright. We also kept getting served Sprite water instead of regular water. The service was really nice but I don’t think I’d come back here for the food.

So many things wrong here…
But I’ll start by saying our greeter was amazing. Loved her. Everything after her, not so much.
After being seated we waited about 15 minutes to be served.
Our appetizers; chips & dip, fried pickles, came out AFTER our pizza.
Apparently the kitchen was backed up. Which could explain why so many of the chips were undercooked. The pickles tho were pretty good.
I could forgive just about anything tho if the pizza was good but I’m sorry, it just wasn’t. The pizza was awful. It was soggy, tasteless and cold.
Overall the restaurant felt dirty. The restroom was filthy. Food was disappointing. Service was poor. Our waitress only came around to drop off the food…
Nothing about this place made me feel the need to ever come back.

Fries weren’t fried all the way, pizza wasnt up to par the dough was soooo gooy and gross. Plus our server disappeared and none of the other servers have asked if we needed anything or refilled our waters. I am a server myself and I make sure I take care if all my costumers… Your servers need better training…

Ugh, horrible service. We went to a paint night and the only saving grace was the server. First of all, one server for 25 different people with different groups.
My girlfriend and I went to both celebrate our 30^th birthdays with a group. I walked up to the bar and wanted to get a drink. The bartender WOULDN’T even serve me. She just had the NASTIEST attitude and told me that the one waitress would take care of us. I guess she doesn’t want to make money tonight? Last time I checked I was an adult and even though I came for the paint night it does not exclude me from ordering at the bar. Not only that it didn’t excuse her annoyed and nasty attitude. Such disgusting behavior from her all because I wanted to purchase at the bar.
I had brought an unopened bottle of wine because it was a paint night and some establishments allow you to bring your own bottle. Even then it was our birthday, seemed like a small thing. The Manager was horrendous and on top of that wanted to charge a bottle fee.
Ugh the whole thing was a mess. The manager and bartender were so nasty. The waitress was at least good. She took a lot of people’s orders and was running all over the place. However I still couldn’t understand how some people could really be so ugly as to want to ruin someone’s birthday because, they’re just miserable? We brought a rather large group and since we had pre-​paid for the paint night we stayed. Ugh. We ordered little and ended up eating at another bar next door that was more than willing to accommodate us.
With service this bad who would come again? Whatever happened to customer service?

Definitely not a dive bar, but not much more than one. The beer selection is excellent though and wings are not bad at all.

Waited forever to find out whether the nacho chips were gluten free. Waited an eternity to have order taken. Had to ask twice to get Hubby’s chicken philly which they brought 10 minutes later than my nachos. Paid extra to get pulled pork on Nachos… There were more jalapeños than bbq… Chicken philly über small and flavorless. Oh, and when we asked for a mgr to get Hubby’s sandwich, she basically wanted to know what we wanted her to do about it. Sad, this used to be a good place to eat.
Spoke to mgr… she apologized and made it right… so that makes me feel a lot better!

Satisfaction’s is a great place to go drink and watch the game. I’d recommend getting their pizza, it’s made fresh and delicious! Great drink selections and deals daily. This is mainly a Duke spot so if you’re a Duke fan, you’ll have plenty of other fans here with you for the big games! You can also reserve a private room for you and your friends to Hang out for events or just a day of sports watching! Oh And ask for a side of their homemade Sattys sauce, it’s their version of ranch but really delicious when you dip anything in it!

Disappointing. The cheese on the pizza was drippy, consequently the crust was soggy. The music in the place was CCR, The Doors, and the Rolling Stones — which may be fine, if that’s what you like, but I like things to be a little less throw-​back. The beer was fine. When we left, we walked past the outdoor eating in Brightleaf Square, and there were lots of people and live music, and we wished we’d done THAT…
Really. I shouldn’t be too hard on Satisfaction. If you want bar food and a TV to watch, it’s okay. It’s just that I had higher hopes for the evening.

Probably would give them 3.5 stars if possible, but this is your typical bar food. With that being said, their bar food is really good. We LOVE their hot homemade chips with «Sat Sauce», which is a tastier ranch. Service has always been excellent, but, as you find with a lot of bars, cleanliness is a little lacking.
The first time we went there, I got a Turkey Sandwich, which came with diced tomatoes, instead of sliced, which I found a bit odd… Otherwise, no complaints on the food side!

So you walk in and pick a seat – any open seat – and a waiter should spot you and come over. They’re usually not too busy for earlier dinners (5−7pm) so the food comes out promptly. Waiters are really chill.
Appetizers: The appetizers are shareable. The nachos come baked. So the cheese isn’t liquidy, but is baked in, on top of the chips. It does come with spreadable sour cream in a small side dish. The wings were sizeable with enough meat on thw bones. BBQ flavor was a bland compared to what I was expecting. Maybe the Honey BBQ flavor would be more flavorful?
Pizza: I don’t recommend the Buffalo Chicken specialty pizza, even if you like Buffalo-​flavored things usually. It was really runny and overly salty and spicy. The Hawaiian pizza, on the other hand, was delicious and not salty.

Service was less than optimal!!! The atmosphere was nice and the quality of the food was good but the service made me never want to go back!

Will not be back for a meal. Maybe drinks. If someone else is buying.
Group of 4 for lunch. One meal came out 15 – 20 minutes before anyone else’s food. We tried to flag the waitress down to find out what was taking so long but she deliberately took the long way back to the waitress station (walked around a pole in a direction that did not have customers) Waitress gave a short, quick «sorry for the wait» when the rest of the food finally arrived. Watched 3 other tables that arrived after us receive their food prior to ours coming out. Waitress did not offer any explanation as to the drastic time between food being delivered. Seemed like this was standard for them. Obviously her tip reflected the service.
Food was ok. I had the Crash Davis Sandwich. it would have been really good but had to fight through too much bread for too little filling. Everyone else’s food was good (Greek salad, panini) but nothing to note worthy. Pizza was ok, a little on the greasy side.

The tower of beer is the only novel aspect of this bar compared to its neighbors. Otherwise, it is a typical sports bar with plenty of TVs to watch games on the weekend.
The food is decent bar food and I definitely enjoyed my buffalo chicken wrap. Spoiler alert: the «Sat sauce» is ranch.

This was a pathetic showing. It was a Sunday at 5 during winter break, and they were out of: burgers, wings, Caesar salad, mushrooms, ribs… etc etc. We ended up just leaving and going to Lilly’s. I run restaurants and bars for a living – I would’ve been over at Harris teeter.
This kitchen manager, or whoever does the ordering, should be out the door. Even after we placed our order, the waiter kept having to come back and tell us ADDITIONAL things they don’t have.
