This is such a sweet little spot. Off the beaten path. Small. Family-owned and operated. Cute. But you probably wouldn’t find it unless you stumbled upon it, or had been there before, or have read my Unilocal review about it. They put their fresh home-grown fruit on the ice cream. The blueberries are still not quite ripe yet, but I had the strawberry last night, on vanilla soft-serve. I believe their summer hours are 6:30 to 9:30PM every night except for Monday. Go here! Support this little local business. You won’t be disappointed!

I first spied this place while out and about with my bride in the little yellow car. It was their first night open for the season and we both kind of looked at it as we were passing by and we both said«WOW — ICECREAM» and proceeded to go find an ATM so we could return and satiate our desire. I made a point to return with my little girl, by taking her out for a ride in the little yellow car 2 days later. I’m here for the soft serve ice cream & sundaes. You have no idea how long and hard I’ve looked for this exact kind of place since moving to NC. Yes, there’s one that’s a little over the top with flavors and varieties in WF, but this… this is a different kind of «simple» treat, the kind I grew up with, the kind that reminds me of playing in little league baseball games and how all the teams would end up at the same ice cream place after the game, how after church we would end up at the local soft serve stand for a «twist» cone… OMG, the memories have just flooded back to me. Before going, stop at the ATM, this is a «cash only» business. Parking can be challenging because it gets busy during it’s limited hours. Speaking of hours, the ice cream shack is only open Friday — Sunday evenings for a limited period of time over a seasonal period. Be prepared to stand in line for a bit… The«fruit» sundaes are made with locally grown fruit — that is, the fruit they grow themselves right on the farm. The syrups are also homemade for those sundaes. Stop and try a blueberry sundae — that is, unless you don’t like blueberries. You will not regret it.
