Horrible customer service. I purchased some tea last week, told by the cashier that if I absolutely hate it then I can return it, no problem. I came in today to return what I purchased, and the cashier was trying to find every excuse not to honor the return. She looked at my receipt, saying because I bought it at a discounted price(mlk day) that I can’t return it. She kept studying my receipt, as if it were so complicated, she kept saying this is so confusing. What’s so confusing about a 25% discount? That’s what her barcode scanner is there for. Scan it, credit my money back. She asked me if she can call her manager, so I said, fine. For $ 8 they were giving me such a hard time. She came back saying she can’t refund me, because it was on discount. She offered an exchange, but I’ve already decided I would never spend an extra dollar in this scam of a store. Get your policies straight.

Horrible customer service, avoid this place if you can. Right as the store was about to close, I asked the cashier if I could buy some tea. She said yes and so while I bought the tea, my friends just stood in the store waiting for me. Then, one of the supervisors came and in the most pissy condescending tone told us that they were closing and that we had to leave. I told her I was in the middle of a transaction and then she stood over me as I checked out and shooed us out immediately after we were done. As we were leaving, I saw her give a «look» to the cashier. I understand that it is inconvenient to have customers around closing time but this type of treatment was just plain unnecessary. I was shocked that this was how they would treat a paying customer.

I’m a regular patron at Teavana, and was disappointed by the lack of engagement of the employees. Most times I visit a Teavana, I’m welcomed and asked if I need assistance or have any questions. This time neither happened. However, this store did have 4 different teas to sample which is one of my favorite parts about stopping into a Teavana store — I never know which new tea I will get to try! Stop in to sample the teas if you are already in the mall.

After the longest, most horrible, terrible day. I find myself at the streets of south point. Again. How I ended up in Durham again is beyond me. Crabtree wasn’t cutting it and I needed a memory foam pillow. I am walking around the mall and remembered that I tried this tea from teavana the prior weekend. I was exhausted and could use a pick me up. The general manager Lacy helped me. He was kind and courteous and not pushy at all. He told me I could get as little as 2oz. This was great because the tea I liked turned out to be the youthberry and wild orange blossom combined. I also picked up a bag of passion. He even opened the tea bar back up to make me a fresh cup of youthberry orange tea. He is very knowledgeable of this product and explained the process perfectly.(This is my first time with loose leaf tea). I went home and brewed a cup. It tastes amazing. It is pricey and I could finally find similar flavors cheaper. However the service here is worth the extra pennies. Such a small encounter made my day.
