Urban Knowledge Bookstore

Urban Knowledge is a smaller-​chain bookstore selling the same type of books you find in any other big chain bookstore. What makes Urban Knowledge unique is its specialization in African American literature. With everything from best sellers to history, UK has the same type of literature for adults and children as is available in the common big-​box store, but with an African-​American, urban lit, slant. Also unique for a bookstore is the availability of books by the man who owns the Urban Knowledge chain.
Periodically, UK also sponsors author book signings — a nice touch in any bookstore, but in a smaller store allows for a more personal experience. For those times when you’re tired of the big name chains, Urban Knowledge might come to the rescue.
