The Ward Studio is not for the faint of heart. Do not study at The Ward Studio if you’re just looking for a pat on the back. However, if you’re serious about being the best actor you can be & want to be challenged & pushed to achieve things you thought were beyond your capacity, I highly recommend finding a course and doing it. Wendy Ward is a genius, and takes a no bullshit approach to teaching. She will expect a lot out of you, no matter your acting experience. She will also take a personal interest in your success and celebrate the hell out of your achievements. If you’re on the fence about cost, don’t be. Training with Wendy at The Ward Studio is simply invaluable. So do it.

If you are an up and coming actor or even a working, experienced actor and are looking to train and develop your acting technique then you won’t find anyone more honest or pushes you hard to get you to connect and do your best work than with Wendy Ward. Wendy is a Meisner acting teacher and she opened my eyes as to what one of the most important lessons in acting is, which is «the reality of doing». Over the course of her six-week intensive I got an education of Sanford Meisner, where I stand as an actor in reality as opposed to having my ego fueled like most acting teachers do, and I also got to learn about acting as a career in her career class that goes A LONGWAY to figuring out for yourself what you should be doing when you’re not in shows or shooting anything. Wendy as a teacher knows when you’re not committing to your acting exercises 100% and certain habits that are holding you back from being the complete actor you have the capacity to be. She can be brutally honest with you, but that honesty if you learn from it can make you grow and come back even stronger the next class. I improved in so many areas in my technique, my auditioning, my career planning, and reconnecting with my artistic side that gave me clarity about why acting is my passion and how my fellow classmates inspired me and vice versa as we pushed each other to become leaps and bounds better than when we first arrived. I can’t recommend Wendy’s Meisner intensive enough and if you are looking to train and be pushed to that next level as an actor and learn about yourself as a person than look no further than Wendy Ward.
