H&R Block

Went here for my 2013 taxes. Had previously used turbo tax but I had a lot going on that year (relocation, marriage, etc) and thought seeing someone in person would be better. Wrong! Here it is 2 years later and I get a notice from the IRS that I owe $ 1400! Apparently HR didn’t include my 2012 California state tax returns as income for 2013 even though I checked the file and the form from CA was there with my tax package from HR. So, they were provided the info and didn’t include it. In hindsight I remember the tax lady getting hung up on the state portion of my taxes. Obviously she didn’t know what she was doing and now I have interest fees on top of the taxes owed. I also remember her giving me a return $ amount when I met with her, then a day later calling and saying she had made a mistake and that one reduced my return a few hundred dollars. And they charged me WAY more than what turbo tax would have cost. Ok I’m getting super pissed writing this, so gotta stop. I did H&R block online for 2014 and it was cheaper and as easy as turbo tax, so I will stick with that. BEWARE this place.
