Ate here today with my wife and daughter. Service was slow and incompetent. I asked the server if the potatoes were country or O’Brien and her response was«little wedges». As for the food, I had biscuits and gravy assuming the best and they were far from it. Whomever made the gravy obviously used butter instead condensed milk and biscuits(which were supposedly home made butter milk) were dry and hard and tasteless. My toast came out as buttered bread while my wife’s toast was burnt. My wife had an omelette and echoed my sentiments. With a meal being $ 50 for two and a half people I expect better.

Cute and quaint atmosphere in a nice community. Staff was fairly friendly. However, overall the meal was quite overpriced for mediocre food. We tried five different breakfast meals and were sadly disappointed by the lack of flavor.

I really wanted to like this place. I have passed by several times thinking to myself, «Wow, what a cute spot, I bet their food is great!» I hate being wrong. I ordered the Silver Spoon breakfast with eggs«sunny side up» and an Anchorhead drip coffee. The eggs came half cooked. You know that filmy gross translucent top layer of egg white nastiness that should be cooked through? Yea, that was on my eggs. I asked if I could switch them out for scrambled eggs(cause I was SO grossed out), and the server begrudgingly obliged. The replacement eggs came and I swear it was almost worse than the half cooked eggs. They tasted like day-old cooking oil. I still can’t get the taste out of my mouth. Just nasty cooking oil. Ugh. Anyhow, I had high hopes for this spot. Just based on curb-appeal alone, I’d give it 10 gold stars. It’s got this charming farm-housey, tall-ceiling thing going on(which I love). But the food just FELL short. Spend your money elsewhere, I would highly suggest The Commons in Woodinville for a FAR better food experience.

The fresh greens salad was amazing. I love the idea of local grown and organic. We decided to split a burger(since it is local, grass fed meat) and the Mac and cheese dish(recommended by the hostess). The burger was great but we wished it was a little closer to the moo-ing side. Wasn’t the ‘medium-rare’ we were hoping for… Home made French fries were yummy. The Mac and cheese was disappointing. Penne noodles. With melted cheese mixture. No crumbly breadcrumb crust like grandma used to make. Meh, nothing special about this dish at all.

I’ve been there twice now. First time was great. Got a Caesar Salad — nice chunks of cheese and crisp lettuce — yum. My friend had the biscuits and gravy. He said it was fantastic. Went back a few weeks later with my husband and he had a burger with bacon that he loved. I had the same salad again only this time the lettuce was brown and they forgot the cheese. It tasted like limp lettuce with mayo. It was gross — I didn’t eat it. I would have sent it back but they were so busy we’d already been there 40 mins before we got our food. Ate hubbies fries instead. Payed the check and realized after I was home that they had over charged me $ 6.00. I might go back but I’ll think about it for a while before I do.

Love The Grange for brunch! Delicious biscuits with fresh jam and butter. Still a local favorite after several years.

The food is good, but having now eaten here 10+ times in the past year I can pass along that it is NOT a good place to go if you are on any sort of timeline. Every time we have been here, whether it is busy or slow, the service is at a snail’s pace. You will typically sit for anywhere from 5 – 15 minutes before getting coffee or a drink. The time between ordering and receiving food is hit or miss– sometimes half an hour, sometimes 10 minutes. We will keep eating here but we know to go somewhere else if we have things to do!

Great brunch here — I’ve had the biscuits and gravy, French toast and eggs and sausage on separate occasions. All very good. Everything is sourced locally from farms which is cool although also means that prices are somewhat high. Service is friendly but can be a little slow when they are busy. They also have a deck in the back in the shade that is wonderful in the summer.

I recommend the Grange cheeseburger — fresh ingredients and juicy, good quality beef. This burger was scrumptious. They also had good helpings of homemade french fries and awesome coffee. The inside interior is rustic and very homey. It almost looks like at some point it was a house. Very charming. Wait staff was attentive and cordial. Ive been here a few times and I will continue to visit this amazing café.

Redeemed: When we first arrived at 9:50 on a Sunday morning The Grange was about 75% full. Busy, but not packed. There was no one at the podium taking down names. No big deal I thought — someone will be up shortly. For the next 10 minutes all of us in the waiting area watched as every single employee blatantly ignored us. Not one person came up to say«someone will be with you in a moment.» Nada, nothing. We started to joke that we were literally invisible. I was going to go do a mime joke on the fake wall that was obviously separating us. I was already searching for the next closest breakfast place. My thought was if this is how we are treated at the beginning — what would the rest of the experience look like? Finally, someone came to the podium to start taking names. Keep in mind this is the first person to talk to the patrons in over 10 minutes. Not figuratively, literally 10 minutes. Once seated, our server was very gracious. Pancakes came out quick and were tasty. She stayed on top of our drinks and really turned around an extremely negative first impression.

I really wanted to like this place. We tried it for lunch on a Wednesday around 1:00 and chose it over our other Duvall options based on a 4-star rating from 80 reviews. Food was good, not spectacular. Service was painfully slow. The server was definitely more interested in tending the outside tables than she was in taking care of the inside customers. For me first impressions are a big deal and while our server was friendly and the food was tasty, I didn’t feel well taken care of. I may consider visiting The Grange again sometime for dinner but won’t be back for lunch.

May 2015. Charming, Cottage Home Style setting & décor. Light, Bright & Roomy. Inviting eclectic furniture to sit at, inside or outside. Casual dining. Good Menu choices. Really Good food. Generous portions. Service was not fast or slow; just an even relaxed pace. We weren’t in a hurry & weren’t rushed off. Had breakfast here with 5 other family members. All satisfied with this dining experience — we returned here on our way home from day’s outing to have dessert & coffee. Recommend.

DELICIOUS! We’ve been there twice for breakfast/brunch and both times the food was high quality and tasty. Service is a bit slow, but I guess that’s how it is in a small town. I ordered take out one time and none of the staff would acknowledge me. They would see me then turn around and go back to drying silverware or cleaning menus rather than greet a customer or ask if they’ve been helped, at which time i had not. I’ll give the teens a break, I worked at restaurants for 7 years starting at14 years old and I’m assuming they just didn’t know what to do. Will return again.

I really only come here for one thing: their grass-fed burger, which is amazing! When I want a fantastic burger, this is my all-time favorite place to go. They have this garlic sauce for it, which is outstanding. My only beef(no pun intended) is that this burger can be really inconsistent, so I wish it would be more consistent(I’m still giving 5 stars since it’s so amazing though, like my favorite burger in the world amazing!). Also, this place has mostly local organic food(we know the owners brother, who manages Oxbow farm down the street). I think it’s wonderful that they try hard to have integrity with the food they serve! I know it’s not cheap to source local and organic producers, but it makes me feel better to know that I’m not eating a bunch of corn-fed, pesticide-laden crap! Bravo to the owners for sourcing local/organic– that can’t always be easy or cheap, especially in the PNW winters!

Still really like this place but had to drop a star because they just have such slow service! Most of the food is super good. I love the french toast, the BLT and the fresh, hand cut fries. The biscuits are straight up terrible and not even edible. The coffee is good and if you order a diet coke, you get it in a can which I like. Today I got there at noon and the waitress got us drinks right away. But then she took 20 minutes to come back and ask us what we wanted to eat. Took another 30 minutes to get my french toast and my husband’s burger. We had our baby with us and it was almost 1.5 hours start to finish just to get lunch. Something to be mindful when you come here, food is good but service is SLOW. Today was the first time I ordered the aforementioned gross biscuit. I only ate one small bite of it, because it was so nasty. I think the waitress knew the biscuits are gross because when she was clearing up she didn’t ask me if I wanted a to-go box for the biscuit. Normally a waitress if they notice you didn’t eat something would ask if everything was okay. Not this one. Not getting that again.

When I order eggs benedict, I pierce an egg. If the golden yolk flows silkily into rich hollandaise to create flavor-magic, I sigh with satisfaction. Usually, I hardly notice the ham, muffin or hash browns. Not so at The Grange. Yesterday, the silken yolk joined a rich hollandaise, flowing over a caramelized slice of ham extending generously over the sides of a flaky homemade biscuit. The hash browns, not to be outdone, were golden nuggets of seasoned potato with crisp outsides and tender centers. There were NO after-thoughts on my plate. Each treasure was to be savored. My husband and son enjoyed their selections equally — and we enjoyed each other, in a warm atmosphere surrounded by an eclection of antiques. Our server, Anna, was perfect. At the end, we shared a frozen concoction of huckleberries and coconut that beats any sorbet or gelato I’ve ever had. The Grange in Duvall, Wa. My new favorite hands-down.
