Excellent product(the ICOs and Shrimp) and prompt, quick delivery to northwestern michigan. But even better… I had a quick question regarding some«new» oysters The Peters Point. I emailed them using their«oyster dude» link on the website and received a detailed response from Amanda that was helpful. She compared flavor profiles, size and helped me find an oyster that’s delicate enough to eat raw and substantial enough to grill so my whole group stays happy. We don’t have a lot of great shellfish up here so I’ve used many overnight seafood shippers for crab, shrimp & oysters and ICO is one of my top three.

Ordered 100 Island Creek oysters to be shipped to the Mid-West. They arrived at the promised time without a problem. All I can say is WOW! Great tasting oysters certainly among the best I’ve ever had and they were on sale at a dollar each.

Wonderful customer service and amazing delivery service. I had no idea I could have such fresh & delicious oysters delivered to my door until I read about them in the New York Times. We just got the Damn Yankee 3 dozen sampler for New Years and it was amazing. Island Creeks, Wellfleets and Peters Points. I will definitely order again and again! Thank you!

Wow! Sent these as a Christmas gift to my foodie sister and brother-in-law(who has family in Seattle, and has had Puget Sound oysters right from the beach). They raved about the taste and quality. They were so happy with these, my brother-in-law plans to buy more himself. That is high praise indeed. Much healthier than the delicious Vannoy North Carolina ham I usually send them at 0.001% the salt content. On the other hand, they don’t last nearly as long…

Great oysters; we always get ‘em at our local joints because they’re fresh, not super expensive and full of that cold n’ briny goodness. We had ICO cater our wedding cocktail hour… they made it really special. They brought out a little boat full of ice and sea candy, had an awesome and gregarious shucker to entertain the folks, and the clean up was a breeze. Actually, once we were done with our photos and ready to slurp some shells, they were completely gone(thank god someone saved us a little plate). Huge hit with our guests and one of the highlights of the weekend, for sure!

First I have to say I’m biased, Island Creek Oysters(or ICO’s) are simply the best oysters I’ve ever had. I am in good company too, the French Laundry in Napa Valley also uses them as their house oysters. They have to be tasted to believe, if you tried oysters once and didn’t like them let ICO be your second chance. A group of 8 of my friends did one of their tours here, saw their whole facility of oyster farming from start to finish. Got served some great beer that paired well with their shellfish. The best part was being able to pull fresh oysters right out of the water, shucking my first oyster, then popping it. It doesn’t get any fresher than that!

I love island creek oysters. I have had them at restaurants many times, and they have always been perfect. They are small to medium size, delicate, with a great bracing brininess to the liquor. Recently I had a party and ordered 100 big rocks from Island Creek and had them shipped to NJ. Everyone said they were the best oysters they ever had, and yes, they were pretty damn, good, but I think the Island Creeks are even better. Maybe next time I will get 200 and get both!

With the perfect combination of brine-iness and grass-iness, Island Creek Oysters are served in the best kitchens such as the French Laundry in Napa, Per Se in New York City, and even the White House. Attention to detail, people who truly care, and quality beyond belief, everything this group touches turns to gold because of their top-tier approach and execution.

On one of those unseasonably warm April days, we put the address in the GPS and headed to Island Creek. We had no idea what to expect but we knew they supplied oysters to many local restaurants and we’d had them a bunch of times and they were delicious. We pulled up to a tiny little shop(not the actual oyster farm) and saw a sign on the door that read«By Chance or By Appt.». Well, chance was on our side and we walked in and bought 2 dozen oysters for an incredible price. I probably shouldn’t say what the price was because I’m sure it varies and I don’t want anyone to quote me. Plus, I don’t really remember exactly but I do know it was a steal. Next, we headed straight to the store to buy an oyster shucker and the wine store for a nice Muscadet and then stopped for a good baguette. We made homemade cocktail sauce, extra spicy and this was by far my favorite night in my new home.
