Not sure how this place stays in business… I ordered a medium iced coffee and they gave me what looks like a small. Then, I offered my debit card to pay to which their response was there is a $ 5 minimum to use a card. I had a $ 100 bill to which they did not have change for. The girls proceed to tell me I can buy a gift card or yogurt. I asked if I could buy a sandwich, their response was you can get a yogurt. I finally agreed to the yogurt thinking it was typical yogurt — not frozen yogurt. The frozen yogurt was terrible. I took one bite and tossed it. Get with the times and let people use their cards without having a minimum. FYI — there is a Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks down the street.

Finally, a Midwest coffee shop that knows how to make a latte. Why there aren’t more little coffee shops around, and why chains can’t make a simple latte, I do not know. I ordered a nonfat hazelnut latte and it was spot on. Good mix of flavor and coffee and temp was warm. I will definitely stop in again.

I don’t really drink coffee but I love this place because it has a TCBY attached, good sandwiches, and a quiet/clean sitting area. Can’t really go wrong here. In addition, they have a nice selection of cookies and other desserts, as well as many other types of teas, coffees, and specialty items for sale.

Great spot for coffee and snacks. It’s huge compared to most coffee shops and has quite a large menu. The covered and elevated outdoor space is great even if it’s raining out. And the hours on here are wrong, not just saturday!

We go every Wednesday for ‘Waffle Cone Wednesday”… a full scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone for just a dollar?! Heck yeah! Super kid friendly and I love the staff — especially Candace. My son looks forward to this weekly«outing» and gets so excited to hear that it’s FINALLY Wednesday again! Just a note: You have to spend a minimum of $ 5.00 to use your debit/credit card.

FroYo, I can take or leave, but for a couple of bucks, you can get one of the best turkey Caesar wraps on spinach tortilla that I’ve had in a long time. Also, keep your eyes peeled for trivia nights!

Ya know, anyone that knows me knows how much I *despise* frozen yogurt. I hated it. I wouldn’t feed it to my cat. But that was when the only frozen yogurt I had was from this sack-of-crap-hellhole soft serve stand called Frozen Yogurt Express in Munster, IN. But being on a diet has led me to find«healthier» ice cream options, and I recently started frequenting the TCBY in the Coffee Beanery. TCBY is seriously the best«low-fat» frozen yogurt I have ever had. I can hardly tell the difference between their fro yo and real hard-packed ice cream. How can possibly be 96% fat free? It tastes so good! I’ve been noshing on the«peanut butter delight” — chocolate frozen yogurt with peanut butter and chocolate chunks. I don’t understand how it can be low-calorie and taste that good. I kind of feel like it’s that Seinfeld episode when the frozen yogurt stand by Jerry’s apartment tastes just too good so they rat them out for making high-fat ice cream. Whatever, though. I love it here. They give humongous portions, they have an ever-rotating menu of, like, a thousand flavors, and the peanut butter delight is just too good to pass up. And yeah, the sandwiches are kind of expensive at Coffee Beanery, but skip those and go straight for the frozen yogurt.

Pros: Free Black Coffee on the weekends Great coffee Free WiFi They have a food menu, and icecream(it doubles as a TCBY) Good place to study Cons: Food is kind of expensive, I haven’t tried it yet though, maybe it’s worth it Atmosphere On my first visit I liked this place very much, I went on a Saturday and ordered a black coffee, and I didn’t have to pay for it! The atmosphere is adequate, it could use a little more space and maybe some couches, but all in all it’s a pretty nice place, and very clean. Just try to avoid all the little highschoolers!
