I wish this review was different… The amount of salt, the dullness of the flavors… this is not fresh… I’m sure if u checked their garbage cans there r cans/jars of spaghetti sauce… the lasagna looks a lot like Stouffers. The chef/owner walking around didn’t impress me… in fact it was a little annoying in this case for some reason. The ambience they r trying to create is a little off… we just didn’t like it.

I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a nice italian meal. It is nice, small, quiet, and cozy. The chef/owner comes out and talks to you and cooks your meal exactly to what you ask him to. Even to the point where it is mind blowing how exact they get it. A very nice and reasonably priced true italian dining experience. I do see some negative reviews in this feed. Please ignore those they must be the kind of people that complain about anything and everything.

Amazing. Absolutely beat Italian I’ve had. Chef/owner came out and introduced himself and recommended dishes for my date and I. He was very personable and helpful. Gluten free options too!!! From appetizers to dinner to dessert, we will definitely come back(as soon as my pants fit again!!!)

After reading other reviews I had considered not going, so glad I did not let what others say sway me. I went on 7 – 11 prior to heading to a concert, so I arrived before the evening crowd. My meal, the grilled pork chop was excellent. My sister had chicken marsala, which she enjoyed but not as much as my pork chop, which I split with her. The salad and warm bread complimented the meal. Those roast potatoes, wish I had the recipe for. I enjoyed talking with the owner and my waitress, sorry I forgot her name. I told them of my reading the reviews and having a mixed reaction about coming. But I feel if you have a bad experience at a restaurant, let them know, not in hopes of getting a free meal, but so they can improve. Go a second time, and if not to your satisfaction, write an honest review. I plan to go again.

Anyone who leaves a good review for this place is obviously a friend, family, or being paid to leave a review. We were served a horribly salty and inedible appetizer, salad that could have been from a bag, and my $ 22 entrée of 7 small lobster ravioli arrived lukewarm, as well as my husband’s ridiculously small and lukewarm dish for $ 26. The waitress could not have cared less, said«sorry» but didn’t offer to fix anything. Chef/owner comped everything but we will not be back. Such a disappointment.

Not sure if the other reviews on here are from family, friends, employees or what, but my wife and I went here for our anniversary, and we had a COMPLETELY different experience. It started our bad when my wife was informed that they were out of the entrée that my wife originally wanted to order. This was Friday evening at 5:30pm…so it’s not like there was a run on this dish over the weekend or something. In addition to this first disappointment, they include soup or salad with most entrees… and they charge an extra dollar if you select the Lobster bisque. That night however, the Lobster Bisque was the ONLY soup they had, so they gave diners no choice but to pay extra for it… is that not crazy? Anyway, we got an appetizer(fresh mozz, olives and tomato salad) that was so salty, we could barely eat it. When we told the waitress about it, she just apologized. No offer to re-make it, nor try a different appetizer. Then came our entrees. Lobster ravioli for my wife, Sausage and peppers for me. Both entrees were barely above room temperature, and the portions were very small for the prices. IN fact, the sauce on my wife’s ravioli was almost skinned over(gross). My wif’s entrée consisted of 7 rather small ravioli(for $ 22), and my sausage consisted of about 6 one inch pieces(for $ 26)…again, all barely above room temperature. The waitress brought us more bread and warned us that the bread was hot, to which I said, «well, it would be the only thing on the table that’s hot!» When I informed her of the cold food, she just apologized again… no offer to make it right. The owner did finally come over and talk to us, and we told him about our experience, and he decided to comp us. Oddly enough, he never apologized for anything, or indicated that perhaps this wasn’t indicative of their establishment. He just told us that our bill would be taken care of. We certainly appreciated that, as it took some of the sting out of the experience, but we won’t be back. We really didn’t get a good vibe in this place either, as it’s rather cheaply decorated. Everything from the flatware, plates, glasses(which are all standard issue diner grade GFS/Sysco stuff) to crooked light fixtures, pathetic fountain/water feature, missing trim, peel& stick vinyl floor tiles. Very disappointing. Don’t be fooled by the pictures here(with their orange tint… trying to make this place look classy). This experience sort of ruined our anniversary.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. Owner is knowledgable and helpful with food and wine selection. Calamari was awesome, flour less chocolate cake was delicious. Went last week with a friend. Going again tonight with the whole family

My sisters-in-laws raved about this place, so my husband decided to take me there on my birthday. We dined with my best friend and her husband. The food was ok. The service was way way off. We got there and ordered drinks. Then we ordered a cheese plate and our dinner. Wait person did not bring the cheese plate. Soup was good. I wanted the steak but they only cook their steak medium. I don’t like anything more done than medium rare. Ordered the pot roast instead. They ran out of the mashed potatoes so I ordered my dish with pasta. The pot roast was good, but the pasta was barely warm. The rest of our party ordered pasta. Their food was good, but they weren’t offered grated cheese. I also received the wrong dessert. An apology was given for the service. We did finally get the cheese tray, and we they gave us a discount for it. But things just weren’t «right». I don’t know if there was an issue with us, but it seemed like other people were getting much better service. I am hoping this was just a single bad experience.

Great experience. We were greated by the Chef/Owner who went out of his way to help explain the dishes as well as taste different wines to pair with the meal. Food was great and prices were very fair. I plan on coming back for dinner or possibly a cooking class.

Better than going down town Chicago. Very good food made by hand. It gets better and better every time I go. The chef comes to the table and explains the dish, which is, great and checks up on how well your enjoying the food.

I had one visit… I am giving it a 4 for many reasons. The place is very nice and they will accommodate large groups for dinner. Which is great because the menu is family style. The staff was friendly and very attentive. We ordered the calamari and it was very delicious, the red sauce on the side had a pepper kick to it, not to much, but if you have taste buds like my wife who can’t handle the mild sauce from Taco Bell… you might want to avoid it. We ordered a brick oven pizza and chicken Parmesan for dinner. The pizza was good, excellent crush and the chicken parm was awesome. The crust and sauce was so tasty and it wasn’t overwhelmed with cheese like I find at most restaurants… I feel the over cheese is their way of covering up bad food. Little Italy gets 5 stars for the chicken parm, it was perfect. The Chef came out to check on us twice, once with the calamari and on our main course. The attention to the detail to the food was great, presentation on the plate made you dive right in. I like when people take pride in their restaurant and in the food they are serving you. When the wife said the red sauce was to spicy, they got her a very mild red sauce and ranch for the calamari. If I have something bad to say it was the speed of the food… we had our appetizer right away, followed by our salads… moments after I was just starting my salad… here came dinner. They need to pace the food to the tables a tad better. The prices were fair, for the quality of food and service, they were a match. I will be there again, I want to try more pizza’s…I love brick oven pizza.

Hello… I love this place. First of all, didn’t expect such cute décor! Second of all, the food… I mean, to die for. Everything is really authentic and very tasty! I seriously love this spot. They just added a party room as well, I can see something going on there very soon! Check it out, I’m a big fan.

Cute little Italian restaurant, with a nice ambience and OK service. My husband’s ravioli was very good, but the pasta I had was just average. I think it was a bit overpriced too.

The food here is super fresh. I recommend that you try the Saccottino al Rosamarino, or you can go by the informal name of «little pasta sacks of goodness:. It may take a little longer to get your entrees, but that is because your meal is made to order. It gives you time to sit back, sip some wine, and enjoy your company. Great place that NWI needs!

Attended on a date on a Wed night. Not busy so we got LOTS of attention from the owner and waitress. Authentic Italian food. Incredibly good slow cooked pot roast with blood oranges used in the glaze. Owner came and conversed with my table for at least 10 minutes about food, wine pairings, and history. The pasta is made in house as well as all the bread and it shows. LOTS of gluten free options. All dishes prepared fresh(can take a bit longer than some places) thus can be altered to liking(within reason). The wine options are good quality and priced reasonably. If you are in doubt as to what to choose the owner, who is so passionate about his work, will be glad to explain and make suggestions per your palate. Fantastic blend of background music. A bit close quarters but it is a smaller restaurant. Wine and food pairings every few months. I am very upset I did not find this place sooner. Love it so much that I had to add it to Unilocal. Located next to Dairy Queen(west one unit) on Rt. 30
