Just received my prescription Oakley Flak Jacket cycling glasses. I ordered just about every option(except Transitions & photochromic) in the book: polycarbonate, Shamir III, polarized, premium AR surfacing. I took advantage of a 15% off promo and saved about $ 75! Rx was perfect. Corrects both my myopia and astigmatism from edge to edge. Communication and feedback were nearly instantaneous, with CEO Grant both emailing and phoning me with answers to all my questions. I’m really picky about my vision, and Heavyglare did right by me.

I recently purchased a year supply of contacts from Heavyglare, and much to my surprise received the best customer service along with my purchase. I ordered the wrong prescription online and upon receiving my contacts, I immediately contacted the store. I spoke with Grant the CEO of the company, about my mistake. He handled the problem as though it was his own. He explained how he needed to reach out to one of his reps to see how to handle the issue. Within an hour of reporting the problem, Grant had not only reached out to one of his reps, but he had the contacts being shipped to me. When he called me back, he explained that my contacts would be at my house within a few days. He told me how to send back the wrong ones. When I asked about the shipping cost, he said he would handle it. Customer service is something that is often times over looked, but in this case has made a huge difference. When a company is willing to handle your mistake as though it was their own, it really shows how much the company values your business. Grant is someone who is not out for the end dollar but rather a business owner who actually cares. His professional manner in handling my issue is something to really respect. I will be personally continuing to go back to Heavyglare with all my future prescriptions. I would recommend any of my family or friends to buy their eyeware from Heavyglare. I lost the pair of Polarized Smoke Edge Dakura sunglasses I’d purchased from Heavyglare, so I called them up in and said I’d like to purchase the same pair of sunglasses again. The customer service rep told me she would have to hang up and call me back in a few minutes in order to look this info up(weird), so I said okay. Hours later instead of a phone call I got an email(weird) saying the last pair I’d ordered is the Edge Dakura sunglasses. I replied back asking her to send me the«Smoke» Edge Dakuras. Instead, I received in the mail the G-15 Silver Mirror version of the Edge Dakura(weird again). I told them of the mistake over the phone and asked for a pre-paid shipping label to be sent to me at their expense as it was their mistake. They agreed to send me the label. I then used the label they sent me only to find out later when I looked at my credit card statement that they deducted the cost of the pre-paid shipping label from my refund when they only returned to me $ 23.96 of the $ 29.99 I paid. Mr. Lambert states below that they read to me my order over the phone and received my confirmation — implying that I actually consented to being sold the G-15 Silver Mirror version, which aren’t even sunglasses, instead of the Smoke sunglasses I’d asked for. This did not happen as the customer service rep told me she had to get off the phone in order to look up my order history and then did not call me back, and in my reply to her email I asked specifically for the«Smoke» version of the Edge Dakura sunglasses. I would be happy to forward this email to anyone who is curious. It is a mystery to me why Mr. Lambert suggests below that his company doesn’t sell the Polarized Smoke version of the Edge Dakura as it can be clearly seen for sale here: (second option from the top). I spent a ton of time making phone calls and writing emails throughout this process and still ended up getting shafted by this company. Heavyglare has truly awful customer service. This is the first time I’ve given a one star rating. I’d recommend making your purchase elsewhere.
