Dropped in for a CrossFIt class, great facility, programming and coaches. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a drop in location.

I LOVE this place! My son use to attend a boxing class at a gym in Apple Valley, but they discontinued their classes without telling the kids or parents. We lucked on-to this place by doing a simple Unilocal search! Both of the owners are Awesome! They care about the people who attend their gym. The gym is awesome. The coaches for the youth boxing truly work the kids. My son was use to the lazy fair training at his old gym. During his first class the coaches had them WORKINGGGGG! Let me tell you. He came home sore as could be, but said he wanted to go back the next day! We have been going for a little over a month and I can’t say enough about this place! Come in for a free class to see if you like it. I promise you will! I’ll be starting classes there soon enough also! Family atmosphere!!!

As a member who went almost every day to boxing for 11 months, it is unfortunate I write this review. I recently decided to leave Minnesota Top Team because there were a few boxing trainers there that lacked respect, dedication, and passion. Classes would start anywhere between 5 – 15 minutes late and end early. They would show up late on a daily basis. Classes were unorganized consisting of stations made up on the go leaving a lot of time standing around. But above all that they lacked respect for my time and myself. I brought up my concerns to the owners more than once, which didn’t seem to take. When I approached the boxing trainers, Roy Dunlap and Robert Brant, they were hostile, disrespectful, and argumentative, something I wouldn’t expect from«top» trainers but from children. The unprofessionalism that was displayed left me feeling taken advantage of, as if Minnesota Top Team only valued my money. The owners, Jeremy and Jennie are very nice, which makes this unfortunate. To me this seems like they’ve worked so hard to get a new gym that they have lost what made them so great, a friendly community that boast a great program to move you towards your physical and mental goals. When a member has a problem, it doesn’t seem to get solved(there were a few other situations with members but those aren’t my stories to share) I joined Minnesota Top Team to better myself physically and mentally, picking a gym that boast hard work and dedication. What I was left with at Minnesota Top Team was a hostile environment that lacks respect and passion. My advice to anyone thinking of joining I’d say for the price you pay, understand that you won’t be getting trainers that respect you, your time, or have a desire to help you get healthy. They are there for a paycheck and a place to fill their time. I truly hope they remember what made them great and sincerely hope they best for them. Good luck.

It’s been a long time since I trained, but these guys are top notch. They started off strong, as the original instructor Paul really ran his academy as a tight-knit group, one that had the feel of a familiar little BJJ family, all the while remaining open and inviting to newcomers. Since that time, the owners Jeremy and Jennie have taken things to a whole new level with expanded offering in boxing, kickboxing, Crossfit, hockey conditioning, etc. Along with the classes, the facilities have exploded as well, taking over the adjacent units at their main location. They have HUGE, spacious areas dedicated to the various classes, with rooms for grappling, tons of striking/heavy bags, a legit boxing ring, and a large workout room with tons of serious training equipment. Check out their website for a large gallery of photos. Beyond their acumen in growing the gym, I know Jeremy and Jennie to be great people as well. It can be somewhat intimidating for newcomers to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA or other combat sports, but they’ve continued to nurture the ethos from the gym’s humble beginnings. That is to say, to remain committed to providing great training in a fun and inviting atmosphere. And from what I understand, they’re hard at work preparing for a new location in Eagan, and I’m happy that things are going so well for good people. If I ever return to training, I would not hesitate to go back to these guys, and would(and have) strongly recommend MTT to others as well!

My favorite place for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu when visiting the Cities on business. John, the instructor, is very knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. Jeremy and Jennie, the owners, create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back.
