Woodbury Summit Orthopedics: Bigger is not always better. Just because this huge organization has cornered the orthopedic market, it does not make them more personable, more caring, or more competent. My physician answered my questions with glib comments and almost rolled his eyes when I asked a question. Too busy; too arrogant. Time to get out of the business if you don’t care about the patient sitting in front of you. Hone your interpersonal communication skills staff! I was happy with the friendly and efficient x-ray department.

Had shoulder surgery with a doctor here. The surgery itself was fine, but the sheer incompetence and disregard for my time on the surrounding visits was mind blowing. Not counting the surgery I had 3 clinical visits at this location — pre-op and two follow ups. Pre-op they were 1.25 hours late to see me, no explanation given, no apology. Post-op 1 was 45. I’m currently sitting here for post-op 2 in the 35th minute. Who knows how long it will be in the end. Accidents happen, schedules slip, but every single time? I took off work for this. Get your shit together.

I had the WORST experience with Summit Orthopedics. I went in for an appointment at the Eagan clinic to get updated orthotics for my shoes. After waiting for a hour after my appointment time to see the doctor, he came into my room for four minutes and told me his nurse would submit the order to the bracing lab at a different office. In the past I have been to a different orthopedic office and they did my cast during the appointment. I was very angry when I left about all the time I had wasted. The next week(my appointment was on a Thursday) I called the bracing lab and they informed me that my doctors nurse had not put in my order for new orthotics. They then transferred me to the nurse’s voice mail, which was full, so I could not leave a message. I then called the front desk of the Eagan clinic to let them know and they sent her an email. Three weeks later, after calling the Eagan clinic and the bracing lab about three times a week, I still had not heard back from the nurse, anyone at the front desk and my order had not been submitted. Finally, almost a month after my appointment, I called the Eagan clinic and said if my order is not submitted by end of day I am taking my business elsewhere because I am so frustrated and unsatisfied with my experience. At 5:30PM I finally received a call from the nurse and all she said was that she submitted my order to the bracing lab. I am just in shock how poorly I was treated and how a simple thing as putting in an order for a brace took a month for the nurse to complete. Not only that, multiple receptionist promised to call me back and I never received a call. I will never go to Summit Orthopedics again, nor will I recommend it to anyone else seeking Summit services. They absolutely do not take care of you as a patient.
